The hotel wasn't much to look at from the outside but our bedroom was quite large with the biggest bed I have ever seen. It was also very comfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotless and we had a lovely view over the lake from our bedroom window. The hotel was quiet and peaceful with no banging doors.
The food was excellent with a good choice and reasonably priced.

Hotel and room were very clean and fresh. Restaurant excellent value, including breakfast. A stay at a budget hotel can often be influenced by the staff and the receptionist here was brilliant. Nothing too much trouble, researching Google on our behalf. Service at both the evening meal and breakfast was really good, as was the food. I have stayed at a number of Premier Inns and this was as good as I have found elsewhere

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel look over the lake and so are a little quieter

This premier inn has all the things you need for a short stay, good bed, nice TV, hot shower, clean room.

Important for us is when you arrive (like we did) as part of a bicycle tour (of Warwickshire and Northaptonshire) the first point of contact at a hotel can help you with storing the bikes and getting you to your room quickly and without fuss. So thanks to Craig on reception to was really freindly and welcoming. He made the stay from comfortable to enjoyable by helping us with requests for extra pillows, towels and even plasters for my wife who managed to loose a toenail (owch!) while out on the road.

Craig is a real credit to the hotel and I hope management realise they have an asset right there behind the reception desk!

Ten of us stayed in three rooms (two family, one double) for a Saturday evening.
Overall the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Bathroom was very clean and a good size.
Good television and lots of channels (very unusual).
Tea/coffee-making facilities ok but the ingredients were not abundant - especially milk.
Quite noisy from above when people walked across the floor, but otherwise reasonably quiet.
Breakfast wasn't really very good, staff couldn't really cope with lots of people, crockery and cutlery running out constantly. Tables were sticky! The cooked breakfast was very mediocre and for the price not good value.
Apart from the breakfast the hotel is very good value and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: get a room which overlooks the lake.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am glad to hear you had a good stay with us. I have passed your feedback on to the Restaurant team.
We keep a stock of extra tea/coffee at Reception and are always happy to provide more when asked. We are also working hard with acoustic surveyors to ensure any noise through the flooring is kept to a minimum and hope to improve the few rooms with slightly echoing floorboards very soon. I hope you will return to us and see an improvement in the areas we are working on, please do call ahead to request a lake view and wherever possible we will arrange this for you.

As a frequent stayer at Premier Inn I recommend not to bother with this one. The building had an awful smell which they tried to smother with excessive use of fragrance. My room had been made but then re-used before I arrived! The pub was dirty. Use the one at Harpole instead if visiting Northampton. I stayed there 2 weeks earlier and it was very good.
