Loved the view of boats and swans all relatively undisturbed. Massive bed. All facilities very clean. A great price. I would re visit this hotel. Although not visible from A45 it is very accessible to major routes.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff who were really helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was clean and tidy as was the decoration. We were given a sheet to sleep under because of the heat and were given a fan too, albeit a small one. There was iced water in the reception and we were told to help ourselves whenever we wanted an ice cold drink - day or night.
the hotel had a restaurant which provided an excellent breakfast - we did not feel hungry until dinner.
Everything was as expected except the noise from the people in the room above us, they were still stomping on the floor at 2.30 am. I spoke to reception the next day and the young man said he would speak to them - which he must have because the noise level dropped the following night.
Will use next year when we are in the area again.

Room Tip: Ask for the lakeside/ back of hotel and to be on the top floor!!!

Booked in for a two night stay (weekend). The room was over looking the lake (on the top floor). The staff where very helpful and very welcoming. They went out of there way to help you.
The room was clean and there was a sign on reception offering people sheets to use for beds which confused us at first but we soon found out why. The corridors where so hot, and we opened the bedroom to the room it got worse. The windows there open and curtains shut (trying to keep room cool). There was a fan but it just seemed to be circulating stale air. We thought the box on the wall was air con but it was heating control (no air con). I know you carnt help the hot weather but every holiday inn ive stayed in so far has always had air con. I mentioned the room been hot to staff and was told we are waiting for the hotel to be refurbed soon and there will be air con put in then.
We looked at the room temp when coolest it was 28.5 deg c.
During the night it was alot higher. We where trying to sleep upside down in the beds so try get some draft off the fan. Even debated cold showers in middle of night but didnt want to wake up other guests.
Didnt sleep much at all. Up most of the two nights
Pub next door did a great breakfast including gluten free bread. Bar meals where great value for money and labled to wat was gluten free which was a nice touch.
Second nights sleep was just as bad.

The hotel needs updating signs in the hotel had been defaced with arrows.
There was a lack of sockets in the rooms. One which had tv plugged in and one more with fan plugged into. There was no where to charge phones/laptops etc.

The staff where really welcoming and the lad cleaning was working really hard and was really polite saying good morning and holding doors open for us.
Location great for shows at billing. Would go back if the hotel had air con.

Stayed for one night for a family wedding. Room was exceptionally clean & very comfortable. Staff were helpful, warm & friendly. Location very handy for Northampton centre....less than 10min drive. Will definitely use Premier inns for future short breaks.

I am not one to complain but do like to make honest reviews as I use these reviews to decide where to stay. I have stayed in many premier inns and have always been happy with them but was dissapointed with this stay. We stayed overnight for a business trip. Our room overlooked the car park which was fine but not when van doors and car doors are being slammed at 5 O,clock in the morning. In addition the guttering was blocked and with the heavy rain we received the guttering was overflowing banging the roof tiles outside of our window. Due to the hot weather we had no choice but to leave the window open. The room was very clean in all fairness and the reception staff were very friendly. What lets this premier inn down is the restaurant attached,very dirty and lack of staff. Breakfast was awful and I was gutted to have spent £17 for a poor breakfast with dirty equipment. Unfortunately I don't think I would return to this premier inn and do not think it was value for money at £75.50. If you are going to stay here I would recommend eating elsewhere.
