Our stay at Au Chand de l'Onde was unplanned - we called from a pay phone to inquire and arrived 20 minutes later. The owners were warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home despite having such short notice of our arrival. The property was very cute and homey. Breakfast was wonderful and we slept soundly despite the unusually hot night (no AC). Would highly recommend!

Peaceful location in a charming Eastern Township village that makes for a relaxing retreat yet is also a great base to explore the area. The village was somewhat disrupted by water treatment plant construction while we were the but it was still a lovely village to explore by foot before popping into the local tea shop for refreshments. Christine and Pierre are excellent hosts and ensure that guests start the day well fed and rested. I will recommend this B&B to my family and friends.

We had a delightful stay at Au Chant de l'Onde even though things were not perfect - through no fault of the owners. We arrived to find no electricity any where in the town, thanks to Hurricane Irene. However, Pierre and Christine still made us feel very comfortable. We were riding the Route Verte and it was important to us to have a secure location for our bicycles - which they did. The rooms were wonderfully appointed and the beds very comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.

The electricity did come back on later in the day but no restaurants were open, within walking distance, so Pierre and Christine drove us to a wonderful restaurant in another nearby town so we could eat dinner. This was very important to 3 hungry cyclists.

Their hospitality and the beautiful location of the B&B was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this B&B to others.

While we consciously left the Route Verte to travel the roads, wineries and cideries of the Eastern Townships, we were very glad to have done so because we found such delightful accomodations and food.

Au Chant de l'Onde is the highlight in a 10-day road trip with my partner. It is conveniently located just inside the US/Canadian border in Frelighsburg, a tiny country spot with one border agent welcoming you to Canada. The B&B is located on the Route des Vins, a well-mapped route of the gorgeous agricultural countryside, with apple orchards, wineries, farms and restaurants. We stayed one night, explored the countryside and enjoyed a short drive into Montreal for the rest of our stay. We chose the Inn for its location but would go back again and again for its beauty, friendliness, and indescribable deliciousness.

Although our weather didn't allow us to enjoy it, the grounds of the Inn are charming and lovely and offer wonderful areas for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of the village. Our room was clean and comfortable and exactly what you want out of a B&B: the feeling that you are staying as a well-tended guest in someone's cared for home. Coming from a B&B in Maine the night before, the biggest distinction was the Chant de l'Onde's towels. At our previous B&B, the towels were those thin white scraps that are sent out to be bleached in volume, while the Chant de l'Onde had big fluffy colored towels - a cozy comfort after a great shower in the clean and lovely bathroom. The towels are just one example of the level of quality in all the elements of your stay.

We were able to sleep with our windows open and listen to the soothing stream behind the house all night, to awake to the most wonderful meal I've ever enjoyed at a B&B, and one that ranks as an overall best meal of our trip. Pierre and Christine set a wonderful table, full of local organic produce. We started with a refreshing fruit plate then followed with an amazing homemade quiche with organic produce, surrounded by fresh vegetables and served with handmade bread and delicious topping options of jams, caramel, and an amazing sausage spread. We were warned to save room and shocked that anything more delicious could come out of that kitchen but both made room when we saw, smelled, and tasted the french toast made with Christine's wonderful bread and topped with fresh fruit.

I really couldn't recommend this wondeful place more and know that it is one that I will still be talking about in ten years as one of the best places I ever stayed.
