Having a room overlooking waterfalls, being in the water in seconds, from your bedroom is worth the money (reasonable rates, by the way). It's the kind of gem you'd like to remain secret, but the friendly owners deserve some publicity. Breakfast is good ... the only thing we didn't like: a serious makeover on the rooms won't hurt, however that shouldn't stop anyone. We're planning to go back and try the shack that was recently renovated by the owners.

How often does one get to sit and dine, or lift one's head from the pillow, look out the window, and see magnificent woodland waterfalls? It is worth a visit here just to experience this.
Keep in mind the artful air of the place; that art is the order of the day, and that this is a natural setting. Breakfasts are sumptuous and an effort is made to patronize local organic farmers, which adds to the ambiance. The entire effect is that you have been transported to a tiny slice of Europe. You will enjoy your stay and the surroundings if you realize you are a guest in some one's home and do not confuse this with an inn where all will be to your specifications. Our room needed a good clean. If you don't care about the white glove test, perhaps you are more well adjusted than I, anyway. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well, arising just before breakfast, which is unusual for me. The main living area is replete w/ paintings by the owner's hand as well as a display case of sterling silver jewelry for sale. One of the proprietors is a former art professor. This B&B would be ideal in summer, when you could enjoy a ramble to the falls, and even a swim in them. In other seasons there would be foliage and the wonder of a snowy wonderland. We stayed in between seasons and still enjoyed the views due to the sheer magnificence of the falls and the witnessing of nature's power. The owners were cordial and we went along our way w/ tummies full of cranberry-cream cheese stuffed French toast topped with real maple syrup, aromatic coffee and organic cider and juice.

Room Tip: ask for a view of the falls

Warmly greeted by our hosts to this beautiful location. As they are both artists, this lovely home showcases some wonderful art and artistic features. Our room had a deck overlooking the river and falls. We were able to take the path down to the water and sit in the cool water after a hot day of visiting wineries, artists and gourmet spots in the area. Appreciated the lovely breakfasts as well as the guest kitchen, with fridge and all amenities. Highly recommended...

A great BB close to Montreal. Very good breakfast. Rooms open on a small court and the "falls" are just below. Be aware that being so close to the river and the small falls, the noise the water makes is omnipresent. It didn't bother me at all but it might bother other people.
Great location and very friendly owners, knowledgeable about the area.

B&B Domaine des Chutes is very nicely located. Johanne and Jacques will give you a warm welcome. After a quiet night, you will wake up looking at the waterfalls, during the good season you can even sit on your private terrace to enjoy the view. Once your empty stomach will try to distract you, just go upstairs where a delicious home made breakfast will be served in the dining room with an other amazing view on the falls. When you are ready to discover the region, your hosts will share with you all their tips. For example, a short drive will bring you to the Clos Saragnat were you will be able to taste a variety of apple alcools including the famous ice cider. Christian Barthomeuf (who invented the ice cider in 1989) or his wife will explain you all the subtleties of their amazing products.
Finally, a personal tip. If you stay in Quebec for a while or plan to come back, I would suggest you to discover this B&B at various seasons. The place is fairy-like under the snow, it is paradisiac during summer time and it is breath taking in fall when the trees turn red, orange and yellow. But be careful the fall season is short, you have a two weeks window, don't miss it!

Room Tip: All rooms are great. Regarding the view only one room doesn't have a direct view on the waterfal...

We were looking for a good cycling centre within an hour's drive from Montreal and this B&B fit in perfectly. It's about 3 km from Frelighsurg, which has a couple of very good restaurants.
There are some excellent cycling routes from this B&B into Vermont and the Eastern Townships, especially if you like big hills!
The breakfasts were delicious and both Johanne and Jacques were wonderful hosts.
Being able to cool off in their own private waterfalls was especially wonderful.
