Had a relaxing holiday in June 17. The cottage was very spacious and had all the mod cons. The owner Brenda was lovely and very helpful in helping to get the gas fire on ( yes the fire was on in June and we loved it ). We seen tawny and barn owls. As the cottage was on a working farms, we saw lots of animals. Our dog, enjoyed all the smells of the countryside. The weather allowed a few walks along the beach. The chip shop is a must visit. With the biggest fish we have ever seen. Lots of interesting places to visit. Especially Keswick, the most dog friendliest place we have ever visited.
The cottage gardens are great, lovely and big and secure. We will definitely be back, this is a wonderful cottage to stay in. Thank you Brenda for making our stay a great one☀️

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of May. Brenda was lovely, she phoned us on the day to tell us the cottage was ready early.

The cottage was very cosy and had everything we needed for a short stay. We loved the open fire and the views from the living room. Lovely secure seating area outside which was perfect for our dog.

This is a great base for exploring the lakes. Allonby has an excellent chippy and a pub but not much else so stock up at the shops on the way there.

Booked a 3 night stay at short notice. Lovely cottage in a beautiful area of Cumbria. Blissfully peaceful and a truly relaxing environment. Brenda welcomed us and ensured we had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds and a cute cosy living room. Thank you Brenda - we enjoyed our short break and hope to book with you again soon.

“Short last minute break”

We booked last minute as the weather forecast was good. Delightful cottage in lovely quiet surroundings. The cottage was spotless and was very well equipped. Short walk to beautiful beachfront with pub, fish shop and a small grocery store. A short car drive to Maryport and Silloth. Weather was fabulous as predicted. I would recommend a stay here.

“Cosy, peaceful retreat.”
Reviewed 26 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My friend and I came to stay for 3 nights during the summer holidays. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful area, making the most of the nearby beach and stunning views. We were treated to a stunning sunset and lots of wildlife on our doorstep.
The cottage has everything you could need from a washing machine to an oven, to lots of crockery and comfortable beds.
We were made to feel completely at home :-)
