“An excellent collection of sites and free.”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Within a short walk there are the Roman Baths, the amphitheatre, the barracks, and the museum and all are free. On the day we visited there were four bus loads of primary students but they presented no challange to an exhibition spread over 4 sites, in fact they put on a show at the amphitheatre under the guidance of a teacher / guide that was very entertaining. Our total visit time was nearly 3 hrs.

“Fantastic Place”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

This is a lovely fortress. It's a good place for a picnic on a lovely sunny day and for kids to let off a lot of steam. It doesn't cost anything and is a good way of knowing about the Romans. There are the Roman baths, the museum and barracks within walking distance. Worth a visit to all of them.

Reviewed 29 May 2014

A remarkable remains of one of Britain's Roman Fortress's. Well worth a viewing with children, oldies etc. Picnic area, loads of parking nearby & well worth a visit for all the family. Nr to Caerleon village, plenty of pubs, eating out etc etc
