We went in the late afternoon, around 4:30 or so, There was a whole flock of hang gliders flying down past the lookout point. Unforgettable experience!

“Fantastic views.”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

We took the Gondola up to Cardada and then the chairlift up to Ciametta. The views are fantastic! We enjoyed walking down to the Gondola. On the way down, we stopped at a lovely restaurant and ate delicious Gorgonzola Polenta that had been prepared over an outside fire and then finished off in an outdoors oven. The taste is incredible. We finished off by walking down the rest of the way to the Gondola. It was a nice, easy walk, well marked. However, once at the Gondola we decided to walk the rest of the way down to Oreselina. This was not a great idea! The path was not well marked and it was switch backs all the way down over a rocky, sometimes shale path. It was supposed to take 1 hour 40 minutes, but with wrong turns , it took us 3 hours! Not much fun, and nothing much to see as the path is mainly in the forest with occasional views. But we did save the return Gondola fare! It was a learning experience for our knees!

“great views if weather is good”
Reviewed 27 June 2013

After a cable car halfway up the mountain, one strolls to a double chair ski lift (sitting sideways) and gets to the top for spectacular views. Restaurant at top doesn;t look like much, but we ate very, very well for very little money.Views, both of Lago Maggiore and the surrounding Alpine peaks are very good.

“Awesome views above Lago Maggiore”
Reviewed 28 April 2013

We were lucky with superb weather conditions and fabulous views 360 degrees from the very top of the mountain. We watched the para sails take off down the hill. Quite expensive to get right to the top.

“Definitely not to be left out on a sunny day”
Reviewed 15 April 2013

Go for the views of the lake and "half of the Alps". And don't miss the restaurant "Stallone" - excellent authentic food.
