Review of Tip of Borneo

Tip of Borneo
Ranked #1 of 7 things to do in Kudat

A place to truly switch off, unwind and to get more engaged with nature in its purest form.

Mostly adventurous travellers and back packers. Great for beach loungers, village discovering, fruit indulging and generally, taking a break from the urban life working in the office.

Never thoughg such an amazing place could exist.

A great place to take photos, enjoy the strong sea breeze and just chill out.

Come in the evening to catch the spectacular sunset.

Must visit in Sabah!

From the tip of Borneo you have a nice view over the sea. There is a restaurant near by (we didn't eat there).

have a good breakfast before your depart Kota Kinabalu. Depart by 9am as the drive is about 3 hours.

The road is good! no more massive gravel by Ulu Kukut.

along the way in sequence:
- SAFODA rest area - clean toilet. Stall selling snacks for a quick refreshment.
- stalls selling handicraft and local snacks available by Kota Marudu (along the way)
- don't forget to get some jagung bakar / grilled corn on a cob
- Longkan sells local tidbits
- Kg Gombizau for honey bee farm
- Kg Sumangkap Gong Making Factory
- Bavanggazo Longhouse---like a stay at the Maranjak longhouse? it's close by
- Kg Tinagol for Rungus Beads
- Kudat town? for local tidbits *ATMs are available*
- 30 mins from Kudat town to Tip of Borneo.
- Tommy's Place and Borneo Tip are chalets by the beach. Merrimas is by the Tip of Borneo, about 400 meters from the beach front (walking distance).
