“Splendid find in the heart of delightful Kent”

We stayed at Frasers last weekend for a 2 night get away from it all break! I'm not sure where the "OK" reviewer stayed, but with comments such as theirs, it certainly couldn't have been the Frasers I stayed at!! It was splendid. We arrived and were greeted by the lovely Lisa and Jo, we had pre ordered a delicious Fruit De Mer prior to our stay, which we enjoyed on the comfy sofas with a glass of bubbly, after which we were shown to our room! WOW! We stayed in the Laxton room, it is in the roundal of the oast, so the room is round, very spacious, huge 7foot bed with a lovely spacious and very clean bathroom.and homemade cake, a really special added extra!
We went for a walk, to try and walk off the lovely lunch before dinner! A map was provided by Lisa, apparently they are renowned!!
Dinner, was equally as fantastic as lunch, the reviews are correct, the food here is amazing, but so is everything else, the staff are all local, and have very good local knowledge and nothing is too much trouble.
I would highly recommend Frasers to anyone, young, old, family, it is a quiet, luxurious retreat and does exactly what it says on the website, "exceeds expectations", three cheers for all at Frasers. Well done. We will return soon.

Room Tip: We were lucky enough to be shown into the Bridal suite, we have a bathroom fetish the same as Lisa f...

Frasers is a wonderful venue for a wedding but mid week it is a lovely, quiet place to spend a few days away seeing then sights of Kent - Leeds Castle is close by. It is quite hard to find so get directions before you go! Once you get there you will find that your room is in a collection of beautifully converted farm buildings. We stayed in the Discovery suite which was huge, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. It has a fabulous bathroom with a roll top bath and a huge shower. Meals are served in the main building which is a short walk from your room across the farmyard - so take shoes you can walk in and an umbrella in case it is raining. The food is locally sourced, delicious, well presented and good sized portions. Service was good too. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Go for a suite!

We stayed for one night over the bank holiday weekend. The service was excellent however the rooms was okay. A couple of things did not really work as they should like the coffee machine and there was a wasps next right outside our window so we could not leave that open. However the bathroom was excellent with a massive bath and shower. The food however is the best thing about this place could not say a bad thing about it. Would go back for the food not sure i would stay again though.

Room Tip: Stay in the suites

Went for a one night stay based on all the rave reviews. It was erm, ok I guess. As the previous reviewer said, we had a room, not a suite. Modern looking bathroom. The overall cleanliness wasn't great. Quite a lot hair on the bed/pillows. (This is before we sat on it.) The toilet brush next to the toilet was dirty. The restaurant doesn't have a bar or anything. Just one room that's used as the check in area during the day and the restaurant in the evening. Put simply, there is absolutely NOTHING to do. Perhaps if you like country walks, this is the place for you. It's in the middle of nowhere and in terms of atmosphere- there's none. This is by no means the fault of the hotel, if anything the staff are the highlight. Super friendly. We are both 30 and we felt like teenagers. All the other guests were 50-70. Dinner and Breakfast -the room was deathly quiet. I made an effort to put my cutlery down softly as the sound of that was the loudest in the room. The food was nice enough. Good portions and hearty.

In all honesty, I couldn't wait to leave. The one afternoon/evening felt like a lifetime and not in a good way. Provided they improve on the cleanliness issues, I might recommend this to my elderly parents-in-law.

We stayed in the Lambourne Suite (so-called) but it was not a suite, just a good-size double room. It was bright and clean, comfortable bed, but lacking facilities - only a very small mirror, no armchair, no desk (making laptop use very awkward) - but most annoying was the shower; put bluntly, it did not really work as it produced only a very disappointing trickle of water. In other respects it was value for money, but a good shower is a basic requirements nowadays.

Restaurant was fine, both at breakfast and dinner. Small but well balanced menu, everything excellently cooked. Service was friendly, albeit a little slow, but we did not mind that as we were there to relax.

Location is fine although rather difficult to find as entrance is near a sharp bend on a twisty winding narrow road without any advance warning that it is coming up. Pleasant green countrside views on all sides once you get in!

Overall it is recommendable but a few details, at least in the Lambourne room, need attention if it is to deserve the rave reviews that I have seen.

We stayed at Frasers Sat 26th May 2012.
Then Blenheim suite was out of this world (What a bath tub). The food was excellent and the staff very very helpful. All the food was from local farms which i think made it taste even better.
The whole weekend was just perfect in all ways.
We will be making a revisit to frasers in the near future.
Highly recommended.
Thanks again.

I took my family and friends (18 people) to Frasers to celebrate my birthday and the staff ensured that everything about the weekend was perfect.
We stayed over one night a few weeks before the party to work out the menu and logistics with Lisa and Neil and got a sample of the excellent food to come.
Over the weekend of the party the staff were really fantastic and went out of their way to make the weekend special. A fantastic blend of professional and relaxed, allowing people to feel at home, but still pampered.
The 6 course gourmet dinner could not be faulted, nor could the accompanying wine.
I stay in hotels over 90 nights a year (on business and pleasure) and Frasers is my overall favourite. Be it business, party or romantic evening – A perfect 10/10
