“Excellent Autumn Break”
Reviewed 7 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We wanted to be near RSPB Ham Wall and the surroundings Avalon Marshes, and also enjoy the Mendip Hills around Cheddar, so Pear Tree Cottages was ideally placed.
The Cottage was warm and welcoming and well equipped. Nearby Wedmore is an interesting town with a wide range of local shops.
We really enjoyed our stay.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at Pear Tree Cottages. They are warm and cosy in the autumn and winter with underfloor heating and a wood burner. This is a good time to visit the local nature reserves as the murmurations of starlings are spectacular. Thank you for giving me this great review.

“Beautiful well-equipped cottage”
Reviewed 29 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We stayed here for a week while visiting our daughter in Somerset. The cottage is absolutely immaculate and so well equipped. The owners have thought of everything and even provide a really nice welcome pack with tea, coffee, bread, sugar, milk, butter and even a couple of bottles of cider - a really nice touch after a long journey. The location is a perfect base to explore the area with Glastonbury, Cheddar, Wells, Bristol and Bath all within easy reach We also visited Monkey World in Wareham which was somewhere I've wanted to go for a long time
I can't recommend this property highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area

Thank you so much for this excellent review. I'm glad everything was to your satisfaction. We are very lucky to live close to so many tourist attractions and people also enjoy the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. The nature reserves are also very popular. I hope we meet again one day.

“Relaxing stay”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Had a good, peaceful, relaxing stay in this well equipped, spotlessly clean cottage. The location is perfect. Close to Wedmore village and near to places like Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury etc. Loved sitting on the patio for breakfast and after a long day walking. Excellent welcome pack included. We can't wait to return.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 3 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We were looking for a retreat and that’s exactly what we got! Beautiful cottage, in a wonderful quiet rural setting, but yet close to the Village of Wedmore, where one could get lost in time. The host Penny was very welcoming and made us feel right at home straight away. We were so taken back with the tranquillity, we decided to stay in on our second night, light the wood burner and let the worlds worries pass us by. Wonderful place, can NOT fault it at all.

“The perfect holiday!”
Reviewed 26 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This holiday cottage is beautiful, well equipped and a wonderful place in which to stay. We loved our visit to Somerset and this cottage is within easy reach of Cheddar, lovely beaches at Berrow and Brean, plus plenty of cider farms! We like to move on to new places in new counties, however can guarantee we'll return one day in the not too distant future. Thank you, Penny, for a warm, welcoming stay in your stunning cottage.
