“Great Location, terriffic Gite with pool and very friendly family owners”
Reviewed 10 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Just got back from a week in Les Reves in the village of Arques. Although just my wofe and I, there is a seperate bedroom with en-suite for another 2 people in large bedrooms. The living facilities are excellent with your own Kitchen, modern TV with internet and cooking facilities although we BBQ'd most of the time. The pool is a welcome relief at the end of the day as it is very hot here in the 30's.... Arques is a typical french village with a bakery for bread and other provisions, a bar that serves good food although just a single dish per day based upon availability. The routes locally are awseome to drive with day trips to Carcassonne and Andorra easily achieved. Quite stunning routes that meander thru the mountains and hills of the pyranees..... Overall, quiet, scenic and friendly... A great week.

“Relaxibng holiday in fabulous countryside”

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in tis well equipped and very comfortable gite. The owners were ever helpful and friendly but at the same time unobtrusive. The village is everything a French village should be with its wonderful boulangerie using a wood fired oven to bake exquisite bread. The countryside is simply stunning and from the gite you can be on well marked footpaths into the forests and hills rewarding you with fantastic views over the valley and the surrounding area. it is a part of France full of history as well and visit to the many Cathar castles are easily possible including the magnificently restored castle on the outskirts of the village. We also rated visits to Limoux, Carcassonne and Lagrasse, all easily accessible within an hour of the gite. The market at Esperaza on a Sunday was quite something. We enjoy hill walking and there are many fine walks in the area, with steep climbs and lofty views of the Pyrenees in the distance.
A great and relaxing holiday and the gite was everything we could have wanted.
