...who has the chance of coming here. We are so blessed to have top chefs like Troisgros, Ducasse, Senderens, etc. who open smaller, simpler tables. They bring to them all their passion, savoir faire and great produce. Luck patron, for this is a delightful place. In the Middle of nowhere, atop a green hill, an old farm has been nicely renovated in a crisp, contemporary manner by the Troisgros. Simple but most tasteful. Service is warm and friendly, and the food exquisite. Lots of slow cooked dishes, excellent products: of course no fancy stuff here, but the Michel has thought the local 'brigade' what he wants, and they deliver flawlessly. And just like at
Maison Troisgros, they work in a calm, relaxed but precise manner. A wonderful experience for a very reasonable price. I couldn't ask for more.

The restaurant in the country is set in a lovely environment. The interior is very modern and stark, rather a strange comparison to the exterior. Our meal had excellent service, the meal itself was unexceptional and actually very average and rather dull. I had expected a good sauce here and there but everything was rather bland. A very disappointing experience overall, especially considering the money spent. I would not go back.

We had the opportunity to visit this Troisgros restaurant and the flagship restaurant in Roanne. Obviously very different ambiences , but both memorable.

We had a Sunday lunch in this countryside retreat. The restaurant is located in a place of rustic beauty , with a stone farmhouse , a pond , rolling hills , flowers. So pretty and inviting. We were very well received and sat outside enjoying our aperitif .

The lucnh was delicious. I loved the fried artichokes , the soup , my blackened salmon , the berry dessert.

It was such a pleasant environment with such nice service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

This is the French countryside place of 3 star chef Michel Troigros. It is not only a restaurant ,but a quiet , retreat with stunning scenery outside of Roanne, France where Chef Troisgros has his main restaurant and hotel. This retreat is not easy to find, but well worth it. It is outside of Iguarande, France well known in some circles for its nut oils. Now to tell you about the accommodations. There are 2 stone barns with lovely apartments and 3 cadoles or contemporary houses built into the hills overlooking the French countryside... The views are incredible. We stayed in the cadole vert which is the largest of the houses. All have kitchens and well stocked refrigerators, baths , 1bedroom and huge verandas overlooking the hills filled with local cow .These cadoles are very private and are really only for 2people. I found on the Internet a 2night stay with dinner and 2breakfasts for around 500euros. While this was a special and fairly expensive it is truly a magical place. We ate at the restaurant on our second night and we were not impressed unfortunately. The restaurant was closing for the season... We were there in November and I felt the food and service to be rushed and not up to the standards we expected. Nevertheless this is an incredible place and truly hidden away from big cities and towns.Although we were there only 2days .....if I had the money I would spend weeks there.By the way we were the only people when we stayed.
