La Cachette is in an amazing location, about a 10 minute stroll to the village, with beautiful scenery and views. The house has good facilities and is well equipped in the kitchen for families.
The kids loved the bunk room and the house is super spacious, the pictures don’t do it justice. It was warm when we stayed but all the windows have shutters to keep the heat out and when it cooled all the windows have mosquito blinds so the breeze could blow through.
The pool was lovely and warm and the bbq area perfect to chill out at with hammocks. The owners have left some games for the kids and a box of toys for babies.
The river beach is 10 minutes walk and superb for children to play at all day.
There are a number of restaurants in the village you need to book ahead in summer but they are kiddy friendly. Auberge saint Hubert does lovely home made chicken nuggets and kiddy food. Canoe Roquebrun has live music and food on a Thursday which the kids had a good dance at.
Loads to do in the area aside from the super river beach, gorge D’heric is beautiful and has amazing rock pools to jump in to. Arbracadabra is great fun for tree climbing and zip wires, canoeing down the river, Pezenas is a beautiful town to visit.
