This is a haven of tranquility with a stunning house which has been lovingly restored by the owners who are charming and helpful. Our room was spacious, the bed huge with excellent quality linen and the ensuite bathroom with its double bathtub and tasteful Moroccan theme to die for. We would love to go again.

Room Tip: They're all good!

Not much to do but echo the other reviews. Alexandre was a very friendly and attentive host. We reserved one of the superior (American second floor) rooms, and it was spectacular. The bathroom was larger than our hotel room in Caen. The setting is very quiet, with grounds perfect for strolling. Alexandre told us he was making dinner for the other guests, so we had it too. It was very good, and fairly priced for what we had. Excellent pastries and jams at breakfast. This was a highlight of our trip.

One of the best individual B&B or small hotels I have stayed at. Better than boutique as owned by one very interesting person. A delight for the senses at all levels - from the unique and individually furnished rooms to the flexible dinner and breakfast timings, to the beauiful views and the peace...oh the peace

Room Tip: All are excellent - it just depends on whether you have a room or a suite...!

Château de la Pommeraye is the most amazing place. It is located in extensive grounds in a beautiful and peaceful setting in "Suisse-Normande"; the silence is almost deafening - wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Alexandre and Karine really were the perfect hosts - very kind, engaging and attentive – nothing was too much trouble. The chateau has been lovingly restored and furnished and the attention to detail is amazing. The bedrooms are wonderfully large with huge comfy beds and amazing ensuite bathrooms.
If you can, do have an evening meal prepared and served by the hosts themselves (given due notice). Be prepared for a treat; the table is set as though for royalty and the wonderful food just keeps coming. What an unforgettable way to spend an evening. The breakfast is equally delicious with bread cooked on site, jams and honeys locally made and apple juice made from fruit in the grounds. Everything is organic where possible.
The whole stay was very special and dream-like and we hope to return again some day. We have no hesitation in recommending Château de la Pommeraye.

This was truly a retreat. Our hosts were most kind and wanted nothing more than to please. Our room was spectacular, very spacious with all the amenities you would want. The view from the rooms reveals the beautiful grounds. There wwere a lovely area to relax in the evening and if you chose to eat there for dinner, you were in for a treat (although it did take a long time to get through dinner.) Our hosts were most accomodating and helped with restaurants and directions. Would love to go back.
