We once again ate at the Gribble each night whilst working at the Festival of Speed. We are usually a table of twelve and eat quite late due to work. The staff are always helpful and really make you feel welcome. This is a favourite of our team and we all enjoy the well presented, delicious food. if you are ever in the area you MUST visit.

I live in South Wales and was saddened to see on the internet that the Gribble had a fire. I do hope that you can repair the damage and wish you a speedy return to the wonderful 'Gribble' atmosphere, hopefully in time for the festival in 2015.

Sad to report that the main part of The Gribble has been badly affected by a fire. The micro brewery and skittle alley unaffected.
Best wishes to all the team at The Gribble for a speedy return to business

Hadn't eaten at The Gribble Inn for a great many years but remembered previously not being very impressed but had supper with a friend in the lovely pub garden and it was such a different experience. Had the mackerel with gooseberry compote with samphire that was on the specials board and it was truly delicious and extremely well cooked. The selection of food on offer was very good and reasonably priced.
The staff were warm and welcoming and the section on the reverse of the menu which detailed their local suppliers was a lovely touch and a big selling point. Will definitely make a return visit.

Decorationsve been coming to this pub since 1982, it needs refreshing
Our food was disappointing, a poor Caesar salad with little anchovy and a bland dressing, a warm rather hot sausage and mash - literally! The sausages didn't seem to be freshly cooked, the gravy was thin and the vegetables tired . It Decorativev that little care and attention had been given to the preparation despite a 25 main wait!
Décor is tired too, a gloomy cluttered interior which need an overhaul to bring it out of the last century.
The beer too seems very 20th century - fewer pumps would mean fresher lively pints. So many similar beers too - more styles , more seasonal variation . Craft beers and innovative brewers such as Dark Star present a real challenge to which this excellent brewery needs to respond - there are now 40 brewery in Sussex

Just had a great evening here - local folk seemed to say that it had good beer but they hadn't eaten there for ages. Well they should.... relaxed, friendly bar staff despite busy Friday evening. Had the flight of their own brew 1/3rd pint beers which is always fun especially on a first visit. Good pub grub plus some delicious and different specials' including scallops with black pudding, stuffed pepper, fantastic mackerel with samphire and belly pork. The lemon posset was truly scrumptious especially with the home-made ice creams. Highly recommended
