We were given a voucher by family to usr for a meal, however,it was my husbands birthday so we booked an overnight stay.
Our family upgraded us to a junior suite which was lovely.
We dined in the Orangery after enjoying time in the pool and spa.

All experiences in this hotel are wonderful starting from check in .
The reception staff made us feel very special and we were shown our room .
On our way to the restaurant we lost our way and were taken to the cocktail bar by a manager.
After cocktail and canapes our dinner order was taken.
When we were shown to our table we were introduced to our waiter.
Throughout our dinner staff were checking that we were happy .
Considering this is five star the staff are pleasant and polite but never in your face.
I hope we will return sometime but in general a little expensive for the usual overnight treat.
Definitely worth every penny.

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous

Rockliffe is one of the best hotels I have ever seen and I do travel a lot. Each time I was on business trips and I believe it's the best place to relax after work, or even invite clients for dinner. The food is amazing, staff is friendly and very helpful, amazing design and overall a very postive vibe! Don't miss out the spa! Excellent spa facilities! I do love this hotel and fully recommend it!

Room Tip: Rooms on 1st floor are very big and have great balconies to enjoy the view!

We visited for a long weekend as a pre-Christmas treat to ourselves. As mentioned in many reviews the welcome is superb, with a very helpful and friendly porter and receptionist. The room was lovely - a New Hall junior suite(?); very spacious with good quality finishes, very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Our pre-ordered champagne and chocolates were waiting for us. We had pre-dinner cocktails in the bar which were absolutely first class, as good as any I've had, with lovely friendly service. We ate in the Brasserie on the first night - although it was busy and the staff were friendly, it didn't have a great ambience - quite loud and bright. Food was fairly good, not great and service was a bit ad hoc (the waiter forgot to bring the wine and we didn't get pudding spoons until we asked for them). We had spa treatments the following day - a full body massage each - which were excellent and the treatment rooms were very high spec with friendly professional therapists. The spa/pool area is nice but has very limited seating and as this was a busy Saturday people were 'reserving' beds which was irritating. It would also be helpful to have a bigger range of magazines etc to read whilst lazing around. A major downside to us was the introduction of children into the pool area after 3pm; it's difficult for the hotel as its not a 'spa exclusive' but for us it disturbed the peace. We had booked into the Rasul for late afternoon but unfortunately it was broken (we were advised of this the night before and were given a complimentary glass of champagne as an apology which was a nice touch). I had a pedicure towards the end of the day which was fairly disappointing (only lasted 30 minutes instead of the 45 listed and the polish had failed to dry even after 3 hours!). We had dinner in the Orangery the second night which has a lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent; the staff were friendly, in particular the Maitre d' was excellent. Breakfast on both mornings was very good with prompt service and lovely food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt chilled out and relaxed on departure but the various niggles have resulted in this being a 4 rating instead of a 5.

We had a visitor from Bournemouth, a hotelier himself. We wanted to spoil him in a classy luxury hotel and we decided to have a meal in the Brasserie. When we arrived we had to sit down in the bar area to wait for our table. It was not a busy day. We didn't get any snacks served while waiting for the table. Our friend asked for something and the very friendly waitress went in the kitchen and came out with different nuts to snack on while waiting in the bar area.
The wait was not to long, and we had a nice 2 course meal. Very yummy and highly recommend to dine in the Brasserie. The only strange thing, the hotel run out of mustard on a not busy day. But the staff was very helpful to get some in as soon as possible.
The atmosphere in the Brasserie is very nice, very relaxing. exactly what you want to enjoy an exclusive meal
We were wondering to the end getting the bill without any small treats....you would get in any other restaurants, without having 5*.
The little touches in the Brasserie were missing, we would like to point this out. Otherwise a fantastic time in a fantastic surrounding.

Very warm welcome from the reception desk on arrival, the staff in general were great.
The hotel has a very new feel to it, all the furnishings are a very high standard.
Our suit was very spacious and comfortable, however facing the front was a little noisy but not a big problem.
You will not be disappointed booking a stay at Rockliffe Hall.
We will certainly return.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the golf course, our room faced the front, and was a little noisy with car door...

Enjoyed a luxurious spa day with family. We went midweek so it was lovely and quiet. It was my second visit and it was just as good as I remembered.

The pool area and hydro room are very spacious and far superior to any other spa I've visited in the UK. The staff were all friendly and courteous, in particular my therapist Charlotte was lovely.

If I had one negative it would be that the Prosecco we ordered poolside was not chilled and the glasses were a bit warm.

I would certainly recommend Rockliffe Hall spa if you want a really special day. I can't wait to return!

Stayed for one night with a friend mainly to play two rounds of golf, but also enjoy the hotel.

The setting is stunning and our room overlooking the golf course was large luxurious and well equipped.

The cocktail bar is wood panelled and clubby and very comfortable, efficient friendly staff and good drinks and nibbles.

We ate in the brasserie which was good brasserie cooking.

The golf course is well maintained and very enjoyable to play.
