We liked the location, the large room and the service of the porters, the concierge, and the desk staff. I stayed in the hotel with family few years ago and that is what brought me back. Breakfast was excellent.

The location is the best thing about this place and that is saying a lot since it is in the middle of nowhere. This was a company preferred location and I will make sure to never stay here again. The staff is rude. The only plug that worked in my room was on the floor next to the door. The widow didn't open properly. The air condition never got cold. The phone system didn't work in my room. Don't stay here

Had a conference to attend and this was way cheaper than Hilton, but still only a 5 min walk with no traffic. Had issues with power points not working, as did my colleagues. Water & mini bar did not get replenished. However room was clean, reasonable size & clean. Front desk staff were pleasant. An ok option for price if in this area. Oh, the gym equipment needed work.

We stayed here as part of a tour, so can't comment on pricing. The hotel is very convenient, being at the end of the yellow metro line that directly goes to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and the Gare de Lyon train station. The station also includes regional rail lines, one that directly goes to Versailles. It is in a high rise business district that is very safe. The rooms are large for central European cities and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. Wifi in the rooms is very expensive, but free in the reception area. I dealt with the reception staff on four or five occasions, and found them friendly and helpful with a decent English proficiency. I found the decor to be fine. I would easily give it a 4 star European rating.

Stayed here for one night recently and was overall very happy. A very regular and ultra clean tram service stops within yards of the hotel which makes Central Paris very accessible, just an additional 2 stops on the Metro.
The staff were warm & friendly and very helpful with directions etc. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet and the breakfast was very good indeed.
I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others.

I stayed at the Renaissance La Defense for one night this week. It is a hotel I have stay at a number of time before but had not been there for a few years.
Check in was not a great experience as they struggle to find the reservation but once found it was efficiently processed in a friendly manner.
My disappointment is with the rooms. This is supposed to be a 4* hotel but i my view it needs to be renovated to re gain that honour. The rooms have old tired furniture and carpets. The decoration style is still vey late 90's and needs to be brought into the current decade with lighter brighter rooms. Getting into the detail the white paint on the doors etc is yellow with age, the bathroom had a chipped bath, the toilet seat was also chipped. The bathroom had obviously been refreshed a few years ago but done poorly as all the paint on the ceiling has blistered and flaked off. The taps for the bath and shower were hanging out the wall though someone had tried to re fix with a volume of silicon sealant and the gout between the tiles had been badly painted in an attempt to make it look better but this too was now peeling off.
Not what I expected from a hotel of this brand or price but then i guess as they are consistently occupied due to their location maybe they don't care that much.

Came late and stayed only 1 night.
I found the staff at the receptiondesk busy and not so serviceminded nor eloquent in English. I had never been in this district before and found it a bit confusing as a first timer with the map that was given since I was attending a meeting within 15 min walkin distance in drizzling weather. I was even directed the wrong direction at the hotel, but friendly pedestrians were helpful so I found my way and to the meeting!
