“Great for school groups”
Reviewed 22 May 2013

We took 60 year 10 students here earlier in the year. The instructors were lovely and extremely tolerant. The facilities are well maintained and Atui is particularly well set up withcomfy beds and great bathrooms. We thought the food was yummy too. The people here were easy to work with in the lead up to the visit and very supportive and keen to make our visit a memorable one.

I have recently taken my class of intermediate aged students for a school camp to Blue Mountain Adventure Centre. We had a fantastic time. The facilities were excellent, staff supportive and helpful. and the location was perfect. I found the organisation of the camp easy, as the staff were approachable and skilled in developing a programme that suited my students.
The kids themselves loved the camp. They were challenged, and motivated by our 3 days in Raurimu. I look forward to returning to Blue Mountain Adventure Centre and highly recommend them to any other teacher looking for the perfect location for a school camp.

Thank you Blue Mountain for the wonderful weekend...we have taken away new experiences, new friendships, and memories that the children will not forget. Particularly loved the white water rafting... I wasn't sure I could do it...but I did! Very special family bonding time for us all. Thank you.

Went to BMAC for a team-bonding weekend and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in the house adjacent to BMAC (organised by BMAC) and the cosy accommodation was perfect for our small group, providing warm lounges, and a big kitchen for us to cook together in.
Our instructor was really friendly and extremely skilled in the adventure activities, ensuring we all felt safe and were having a good time.
Organisation with BMAC before our arrival was a breeze and made it really easy for us to make sure we were ready and had everything we needed.
Highly recommend BMAC to any size and type of group. You will have an expreience that will not be forgotten quickly. Thanks BMAC!

Room Tip: Our group stayed in a house right next to BMAC that they sometimes use when they have multiple group...

Over the past 3 years, I have organised a group of girlfriends to escape for a weekend away from kids, husbands, busy jobs, busy lives, mobile phones and internet to try something different and to be pushed out of their comfort zones, all whilst having a great bonding time. I have still yet to do every single activity on the books. The accomodation is spotless, modern and the food plentiful and yummy. No one has ever lost weight! I have also brought my extended family down for 4 days (ages ranged from 5 – 70) and BMAC was able to come up with something that we all could do yet was still challenging for the older ones. Could not recommend this place enough! This is a hidden gem of an organisation with wonderful facilities, amazing instructors and support team.

Room Tip: Lots of separate bunk beds on wire frames which can be noisy. Some of us dragged our mattresses into...

I have come to BMAC on and off for years, and it never disappoints. The accommodation is fantastic, clean, warm and has everything you need. The Staff are super helpful and highly skilled in both instructing and helping build group dynamics. The experience of the groups I have taken is that of people over coming fears and taking on new challenges. They can then that the experience and cross over into other situations in life. It's just great. Good for small (9 people) and big groups.
