I've now had 3 colonic treatments here with Joanne and I just wanted to say thank you for making my treatments so fantastic. Such a professional and gorgeous lady who always makes me feel so relaxed. The treatment itself has made me feel light as a feather afterwards! I feel free! Thank you so much. I'll be booking another course for next month! Zoe

We have just returned from a one night stay at Crabwall as a birthday/going away treat for my partner and I honestly thought I was going to have to be forcibly removed from the building we enjoyed our stay that much.
Firstly the room was beautifully decorated with a modern yet traditional feel and was impeccably clean, everything felt so new and was just so comfortable.
The hotel staff were very friendly and no request was too much. The restaurant is cosy and had a had a relaxed atmosphere, but the food...honestly the best meal I can remember.
We had the scallops to start followed by the surf and turf - incredible!
Loved every second from start to finish can't wait for our birthday/welcome home stay - next time we will definitely plan more time and make use of the fabulous spa

We stayed at here in the Master Suite for my partners 40th. I had looked at a few places but I'm glad I decided to come to Crabwall. The room was immaculate, very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was good and they had lots to choose from. We used the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, gym etc. all the facilities were very clean and well managed. We will definitely be visiting again.

Just back home from a fantastic 2 day stay at this wonderful Hotel which we chose for the occasion of my daughters wedding ceremony & reception. From the minute we arrived until the moment we left, everything was simply perfect. We had 76 Day guests and 150 in the evening, and every single person expressed their delight in the wonderful setting and fabulous, polite service. The prices for top class accommodation and bar drinks etc was very reasonable and much lower that Hotels of a supposedly similar quality. All of the staff where very friendly and a particular "thank you" go's to all the event management & team- you really did make our day extra special. 100% recommend Crabwall Manor to anyone who wishes to hold a wedding, or just visit Chester and the local area for a few days. Simply wonderful, thanks for an unforgettable stay xxx

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent. Our party had 10 rooms and all where excellent. We stayed in suite numb...

We arrived at this hotel having booked a classic double room online, we arrived and were met on reception by a very polite and professional gentleman, he had noticed from our booking sheet that we were only just married and instantly upgraded us to the bridal suite. This was a lovely surprise and the suite was amazing, beautiful views, extremely spacious and very clean, everything we needed was in the room. We used the pool during our stay, very well kept and lovely pool and the staff again were polite and professional. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had a meal from the bar menu which was fine and enjoyed drinks in the outside seating area overlooking the garden. Parking was ample and right outside the hotel. We had no problems at all staying here and would very happily book again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

We spent two nights here and had two rooms for us and two children. Firstly I thought both the rooms we had were great. They were both clean and very spacious. No complaints at all. Secondly the staff we met were all very friendly indeed. The woman who cleaned the rooms was very cheerful and chatty. The gym was very well laid out and well stocked. Liked the pool and the changing rooms were good. We did not eat in the restaurant but had a couple of things from the bar menu. Very tasty and decent value for money. Breakfast was fine, nice omelette, not huge choice but ample!! The staff at breakfast were very attentive indeed with fresh coffee offered regularly.
But....... My only gripe is with the bar area and communal seating rooms. They lacked any style and atmosphere. They looked as if all the pictures and so on had been cleared away for decoration. And then never returned!! Bit like a doctors waiting room!! Needs a lot more thought in how to be welcoming and atmospheric.

This hotel should have everything going for it: a beautiful setting, updated rooms but it isn't quite working yet, especially for the price we were paying.

We had a large, spacious room with neutral if somewhat blah colours and a huge bathroom BUT: the bathtub plug was missing, no shower mat until requested, aircon wasn't working and as the room was west facing, very hot in the evening. We also had to ask for additional hangers for the wardrobe (we were staying 5 nights). On the plus side, we had a very comfy bed and 17 plug outlets ( who would ever need that many??).

Evidence was everywhere that the hotel has just been renovated but not quite completed: there were paper signs pointing to rooms and function areas, and there was no printed material in the rooms.

One night we were blocked from the main bar and outdoor area as there was a private function. We were left with a small, unattended and dirty courtyard area for drinks - we had to wipe bird 'doo' off the chairs and tables.

The menu looked appetising and we were anxious to try out a number of dishes. Unfortunately, the first night's dinner was almost inedible - my rabbit cassouslet was tough and poorly seasoned and my husband had to send his steak back. Subsequent nights were better but not the standard we were expecting. Breakfast service was slow and the coffee was awful. Someone needs to train the kitchen staff to use consistent measures in the caffetieres as we had see-through coffee.

On the plus side, the staff were friendly, responsive and had good intentions, the spa is first rate and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

I would give the hotel another chance if I am in the area but it needs to fine tune the details if it wants to be a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Our suite's aircon didn't work so we had to keep the windows open all the time (on one of th...
