Went to the fish and chip inn this evening. At about 7pm there was a huge queue out of the door- a good sign! We decided to eat in the restaurant. They managed to squeeze us in despite expecting a booking of 20 just after. We were very well looked after, the fish was perfect, not overcooked at all, batter was light and crispy and the chips were great too. Very impressed!

We have been to the Chip Inn many times since moving to the area (1996). In fact we have been so often that most of the staff know us by sight... The fish and chips are some of the best this American has ever had. I judge all other chippy by the standard that the Chip Inn sets.

The restaurant are is always neat and clean. They do a senior citizens portion that is just the right size for those of use without such large appetites.

When the shop is open there are always queques for the take-away. Booking is a must if you want to go there, especially on a Friday or Saturday. Even during the week if you show up on spec you might be disappointed.

I can't praise the Chip Inn enough. To top it off it is excellent value for money.

We first tried the Chip Inn way back in June, it's fish is so fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked with a crisp light batter, never that soggy awful stuff you get some places! The chips are delicious and hard to resist! Everything is always faultless clean and fresh right down to the wally's :-)
We shall return time and time again!

Went for a Saturday evening meal take out. Ordered a large cod, but got a very small portion-wouldn't even say it was a medium size piece. Very poor value for money

Been going here since 2003. Faultless food. I've never eaten in. Cant imagine inside is anything other than good. Their are many chip shops in the UK...here is one of the best.
