“Great hotel in stunning area”

Spent a recent night at the hotel on a travelzoo deal. Very impressed by the gardens, the peace and quiet, the quality of the evening meal, and the availability of Bowland beer in the bar. The room was fine, comfortable and overlooking the gardens and fells. The location is great for some superb walking too. We must return

We booked an overnight stay offer, with evening meal and breakfast included at this hotel. We arrived in the afternoon , as the receptionist said it was essential to view the stunning gardens.... and we weren't disappointed. There are many seating areas, so when you have walked round the stunning gardens, you can then sit with a glass of something lovely and enjoy the views. We booked a suite, and although the decor is a little dated, everywhere is spotlessly clean and it suits the relaxing feel of the place well. The dining room is beautiful, again with lovely views, and the food was delicious, both at evening meal and breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. If you feel like getting away from everything and relaxing, this is definitely the place to go

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the gardens

Attended at our very dear friends wedding yesterday

Have stayed at Gibbon Bridge many years ago - loved it then

The hotel, gardens, service, rooms, food - in fact everything was wonderful we had the most fantastic day, more importantly so did the now Mr and Mrs Turner

We will return, well done all at Gibbon Bridge, you are doing everything perfectly

Room Tip: We stayed in room 14 - own parking space, large bedroom and wet room Very comfortable and quiet

We booked an overnight stay with dinner for my in-laws and my wife and I also. Great price but we see always wary about "deals". However we need not be so.
This is an absolute gem if a hotel. Only 30 bedrooms in beautiful countryside with23 acres of grounds. We upgraded to a suite, for only £20 per room, and had a fantastic view over the main gardens to the fells in the distance. Very comfortable rooms that were immaculately clean and well fitted.
I could go on for ever with my praise but to sum up -
Amazing food
Great rooms
Excellent service
Friendly staff, from the gardener who explained about his plans for the grounds, to Janet the owner who was really hands-on even risking our dinner order.
Cannot praise too much, one if the best hotels we have stayed in.
A must visit.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Gibbon Bridge to celebrate a friends wedding. The location is stunning, set in the forest of Bowland in Yorkshire. Our room (VIP Suite) was a spacious duplex with a large bathroom complete with Whirlpool Bath.

The hotel grounds are lovely and ideal for wondering and exploring. They have 2 resident pigs in a pen as well as a large pond area that has ducks, swans and chickens. Ideal if you're traveling with children.

For the wedding, the service was conducted in The Orangery which was light and spacious followed by the wedding breakfast and reception in The Conservatory and Cavellier Rooms both facing the beautiful hotel grounds and gardens. The food was delicious and all in all it was a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: VIP Suite if you're staying for more than a couple of nights as it's a huge duplex with all...

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. No, it doesn't have a Spa, but who needs a spa with views and gardens like this? No, we couldn't get a mobile phone reception, but not really necessary as free WiFi = access to messenger etc. We did need to phone home, however this was no problem as we were able to use the hotel reception and bar phone free of charge. The terrace areas were beautiful as were the gardens, bar and restaurant. Very tastefully decorated and to a very high standard - not your average same old boring chain hotel fare. There were huge displays of fresh flowers everywhere and the hanging baskets adorning the terrace were the biggest I've ever seen! We stayed in a suite which was spacious with a super king size bed, spa bath and views to die for. As mentioned by other guests we were a little surprised that there were no homemade biscuits in the room :( . The room décor was a little 'eclectic', but I think this added to the charm and I loved the GB carpet that ran throughout the hotel. Food quality and service throughout was excellent and fairly priced. We winced a little at bar prices, but average for a hotel. I particularly enjoyed reading the hotel publication in the room which described how Janet (the very inspirational owner) and her Mum have realised their dream of creating a top quality country house hotel (formally their farm) using local tradespeople and suppliers and reclaimed stone windows from a local church. It was very touching to read the contributions from long standing staff members who explained how well she looks after her staff and considers them and their families to be her extended family. I wish I could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend the hotel and restaurant and as a stunning wedding venue - I wish I'd got married here. Check out the private outside dining areas - Fabulous party venue.

Room Tip: Worth upgrading to a suite for extra space, but I think most rooms have views of the gardens and Lon...

The crown of course being the beautiful scenery here in the Forest of Bowland. The jewel is this fantastic hotel, almost hidden away in the rolling countryside.

The food is exceptional, as is the staff. The rooms are very comfortable as well as furnished to a very high standard. The hotel is ideal for those looking for a base to explore this area of outstanding beauty, or for those just wanting a restful break as the hotel is surrounded by extensive immaculate gardens.

The hotel definitely has that WOW factor .
