Visiting this place that happens to be close by but had never been and only wish I had a long time ago.

I've lived half an hour from this gorgeous garden for 15 years and never knew it was there! Stunning rockery, lovely nooks and crannies for a great game of hide and seek, a "Tombilboo" hedge you can walk through and very good scones with jam and cream. Can that be bettered? Yes it can, with a very informative birds of prey show on the lawns by the tea room. We will be back

The most striking feature of these gardens is the more than a mile of carefully clipped hedges.
We liked the sunken garden but the rock garden was easily the best and most extensive we have ever seen.
There is a nice woodland walk as well.

I took my mother and daughter here today for a picnic. It was easy to find and there was ample parking. The entrance fee was excellent value for money (£7 p/adult and £2 p/child) and we're thinking of a season ticket for next year (£20 p/adult).

The gardens are stunning and we felt like we had them all to ourselves as it wasn't busy. The sunken garden and rockery are gorgeous and the view of the countryside in the distance is beautiful.

I've never seen so many dragonflies! In the pond garden there were swarms of them darting all over the place.

This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon letting kids explore the grounds. The gardens are immaculately kept and my daughter loved exploring them all.

We will definitely be back next summer.
