“Lovely”
Reviewed 2 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

A beautiful location and spacious accommodation. It had everything we could have needed. Even though it was below zero outside it was warm inside - we enjoyed the woodburner. Our little girl really enjoyed meeting the cows and chickens. What really made it however was the hospitality shown by Hazel and Chris who were extremely kind and welcoming. Many thanks!

“Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed 25 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

My husband, young daughter & I spent a lovely long weekend at The Annexe. The cottage is very nice, spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped, and the lounge has a nice log burner. Beds were comfy, bathroom has a great corner whirlpool bath. There is a wide variety of books, cds & dvds. My daughter especially enjoyed the nursery rhyme cd and pepa pig dvd. There a also a few board games. There are various pamphlets and tourist information of the surrounding area. The owners, Hazel & Chris are very friendly. We had a lovely quiet getaway, would definately recommend.

“The Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed 20 September 2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had a lovely welcome on arrival from Hazel and Chris, fresh eggs from their chickens tomatoes from the garden and milk in the fridge.
The house is on the farm adjoining the farm house and is presented to a very high standard furnished with good quality appliances and comfortable seating and bedrooms.
The location is perfect for a peaceful relaxing break there is lots to see and do just a short drive away, maps and brochures supplied, or there are plenty of peaceful country walks or acres or farmland and woods to explore.
For us this was a break away to just unwind, sit read a book have a glass of wine take in the beautiful countryside,I don't think there would be anything you could change to make it better. We will return I am sure.

“Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed 1 June 2011 for a stay in April 2011

We have had the pleasure of staying twice at this lovely cottage.
Location: it is truly in the middle of nowhere, situated on a working farm. Don't worry, you don't ever feel part of the farm, far from it, you feel totally separated. The nearest small shop is a well-stocked one in Herstmanceoux, a 5 minute drive away. A great place to relax with a good size private garden and some lovely local country walks. It's also a great base to explore this area and is about a 20 minute drive from Eastbourne/Pevensey. Also a great base for cycling.
Accomodation: Absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean. Relax and enjoy the jacuzzi or the power shower. Downstairs is openplan but big enough for a family to stretch out. A brilliant log fire which truly toasts your toes.
Owners: Hazel and Chris are the most welcoming hosts without ever intruding. They are always there to assist you with local area advice as both are true locals.
I absolutely recommend this place. Enjoy.
