I went to The Song House for Candy's Choir Leaders course. It was great fun. I learnt a lot, worked hard with some great people.
The countryside is beautiful with stunning beaches close by.
The locals were all enthusiastic about our singing - I think!
The house is very well equipped, cosy and generous, kitchen with everything you need. Great looks from every window, the garden gets more beautiful every month. Candy and Robin aren incredible hosts, can give you lots of ideas what to do in the magnificent landscape with a rich history .
The Song House has all the wildness you could want, ie: the Atlantic Ocean on one side, Muckish Mountain on the other; but with the friendly town of Falcarragh nearby, the house is conveniently positioned, warm, spacious and renovated to a high spec. It is clear how much love and attention Candy and Robin have put into this venture. A great venue for family holidays, groups or workshops.
Candy is creating a very special place where you can unwind, relax, walk, swim, chat and sing your heart out if you choose!
We stayed in The Song House for a family get-together and found the accommodation very comfortable. It is within easy reach of nearby restaurants and shops. The nearby Glenveagh National Park is a treat to visit.
For many years ive wanted to visit ireland and when this opportunity came my way I finally got to go. I have never stayed in such a beautiful location. And to get to sing in th e old church with candy and all of us was amazing. The house is delightful, nothing to fault whatsoever, candy invited us to a local pub with music, it was fantastic. Candy and her husband were very welcoming and accommodati ng. Thankyou for giving me such beautiful memories. Hope to be back xxxx
The views over Muckish Mountain are absolutely stunning - Candy calls the windows the "TV" because the view is ever changing with the weather and light. It's wonderful to find somewhere that has been recently refurbished with such care - the house retains its traditional charm but everything works! Lovely showers, all new windows so no draughts. An open fire with peat blocks and a fire pit outside for warm evenings. Candy is a wonderfully welcoming host who is very knowledgeable about the local area. I took the entire property for 5 days to hold a retreat, using the large living area as a workshop space. I was delighted, as were all the participants.
