We have just had a great week skiing in the 3 valleys. We booked the Chalet Balkis through Ski Amis. This was supposed to be a premium chalet. Had it not said this and had we paid less we may have been quite satisfied. However, having paid a premium price we were expecting a reasonable size bedroom, where we would not bang our heads ( I am 5'1" so not tall). Our main focus was the food, which was very disappointing, more school dinner menu than luxury. With uncle ben's jars of sauce used in one dish. There was certainly plenty of food just not of the standard we were expecting having stayed in some lovely chalets elsewhere. The cakes were excellent and the hosts lovely, but they were expected to achieve the impossible with the time and ingredients supplied. So if you are loking for value for money avoid the premium chalets as the menue was the same in the rest and when you pay less you are happy with more simple fare.
