“Fantastic location and accommodation to keep the kids and adults entertained!”

The signs were encouraging before we even arrived at The Beach House, as the owner was very helpful and provided lots of advice about what was available in the house as well as in the surrounding area, especially as we were travelling with two young children.
On arrival at the property (after a brief double check to make sure we were trying to get into the correct door) were delighted we'd chosen The Beach House as it really has the perfect location. The unspoiled sea views from the enclosed balcony and master bedroom were a fantastic way to start and end the day. The house is only a few yards from Lower Largos convenience store and Bars (the food in the Crusoe Hotel was great and they were very kid-friendly), as well as the main attraction - the fantastic beach!
The view wasn't the only bonus - all of the rooms (especially the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms) were finished to a high standard, and made the stay ever more comfortable. There were even some books and toys to keep our 3 and 1 year old happy when we weren't out exploring.
As for things to do in the area - we spent most evenings after dinner either on the beach for a paddle, skimming stones from the pier side, or going for walks up and around the village. Further afield, the food and play park facilities at Blacketyside Farm were excellent and the villages of Anstruther, Crail, Pittenweem, Elie and St Monens were great for leisurely walks (with a 3-year-old, yeah right??) to work off the breakfast, lunches and ice cream!
As Lower Largo is an old fishing village, the parking is a bit hit and miss, however we were never more than 100m or so from the door, and is a small trade off for this type of location.
There was no Internet access included with the property, however we hooked up to the BT WiFi network for the week, which we probably didn't need to, but was handy to have on occasion (especially for Facebook addicts).

“Excellent location with beautiful views”

Have been using this property for many years now and we are always sad to leave. The flat is well - maintained and furnished and could hardly be nearer the sea. It has a shop and pub within yards and we managed to park at the side this year.
The present owners have added to the previously high standard, so it would be hard to fault.
You can actually lie in bed and see the sea! Or you can sun yourself in the enclosed glazed balcony.

“Amazing Views”
Reviewed 9 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012

The location right on the beach was amazing. The views from the living room and upstairs bedroom felt like a magnet were pulling you to always be looking around at either the boats or barges, Bass Rock, Sea gulls etc. The time of year we went we were fortunate enought to have daylight untill about 10:30 or later at night and when the lights shine over by the Edinburgh area it was another spectacular view. When the tide was out the rock pools and sand were a delight to explore. Very friendly village people and holiday makers. Although a quiet town, there is a local shop that has necessities and a restaurant close by as well. If you do not have a car there is bus service into Leven, Kirkcaldy and the St. Andrews area. Lots of beautiful villages nearby, and Anstruther has a great fish and chip shop. The apartment is well kept and it felt like a home away from home. Was nice to feel like you stepped back in time a bit.

“Great base to relax, and enjoy the beach and surrounding area”
Reviewed 1 February 2012 for a stay in September 2010

Lovely to wake up to a beautiful view of the sea at sunrise, and to enjoy walks along the beach which is literally on the doorstep. The flat is nicely decorated, light and bright and comfortable. Young children are well catered for too.

St Andrews is close by, and there are lots of other nice places to visit along the Fife coast.

Will visit again.
