“the best holiday ever”
Reviewed 17 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

this has to be the best short break we have ever had.The house is beautiful and spotless,Feels like home from home. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived. The views are amazing. The pub is right next door but very quiet so no disturbance. The little shop next to that has everything you will need and across the road is the hotel which has fab food! even in the bar area. just at the back of the hotel there is a little path which takes you onto the beach so your literally 30 steps from house to beach(perfect) If you are into arts and crafts as my wife is there is a great craft shop around the corner from house. All in all we will definitely be back again, did'nt want to leave.

We all had a great family holiday at Bridgend House. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The location is also ideal for the beach & local amenities. It is handy for golf nearby & for visits to St. Andrews too.

“Picture perfect”

About to return to this beautiful, well positioned house. Our first stay was just for a weekend but this time we will enjoy it for a week!! The house is decorated to a very high standard and is well equipped. The beach is on your doorstep and the view out over the harbour is rather special.

“Lovely House in Lower Largo”
Reviewed 12 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We had a lovely week's stay in Bridgend House. Although the house can comfortably sleep five, there were just two of us and yet the house still felt very welcoming and cosy. The house is well appointed to a high standard and "the living is easy". For us the location of the house was perfect as it is within easy reach of many wonderful golf courses where tee times were easily arranged and - oh - the fresh sea air was a tonic. We would definitely return to this house . We only visited a fraction of the local golf courses and have many more to try so we are already looking at dates in 2014!

“Top quality house. Relaxing, quiet location.”
Reviewed 15 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Having stayed at the owners St Andrews Coach Houses we were expecting this accommodation to be of equally high quality and we were not disappointed.

As usual the owner, Maggie, was really helpful providing a high-chair for our wee one and ensuring we had all the info on what was nearby and going on locally ahead of our stay. The property was easy to find and not too far from the other coastal villages but a good 20 minute or so drive to St Andrews.

The property itself is a traditional cottage that has been refurbished to a high standard with lovely bathrooms and a modern kitchen. Because it's an older building the rooms are big and airy and there are nice touches like window seats downstairs to look down to the harbour area etc.

As with Maggie's other properties everything is spotlessly clean and organised - there's none of the five different types of knife and fork rattling around a drawer (and a complete absence of a corkscrew for that bottle of wine) that you get in some self-catering accom! And we enjoyed slumping back in the reclining sofas with said wine after a long day out too!

Lower Largo itself is fairly quiet although the hotel seemed popular enough and the food there was pretty good with the staff being very helpful and friendly.

Overall we had a nice little family weekend away and would definitely recommend Bridgend House.

“A little bit of luxury by the seaside”
Reviewed 11 November 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Bridgend House is an immaculate property just a few yards from the beach in Lower Largo. It is an older property but has been thoroughly redecorated in a contemporary style. The rooms are spacious, particularly the kitchen/dining room and the master bedroom, and having 2 separate bathrooms is excellent for families.

The house is situated in Lower Largo in the East Neuk of Fife, one of the most picturesque parts of Scotland with lots of charming villages and the lovely St Andrews in its north eastern corner. There is a hotel and pub within yards of the front door, with more dining options within walking distance.

Overall a fantastic and highly recommended property
