Beautiful hotel with wonderful cuisine. Stayed in one of the beachfront suites in March 2010 when they were brand new. Incredible hospitality from owner and staff. Definitely, we need to return for an anniversary in the near future.

Great hotel in a lovely location near Friendship Village, in a sheltered bay on the Atlantic side of the Island. Wonderful staff, very friendly service, nothing is too much trouble. The junior suites are large, all with great views over the gardens to the sea or directly onto the beach and are kept immaculately clean with a visit twice a day. The bar and restaurant are on the beach with lovely views and the sound of the waves. Bar menu includes a good range of cocktails and wines as well as the usual local Rum and Beer. Very quiet long sandy beach, just for the guests, really didn’t see anyone else but the odd walker. Live music in the evening on a couple of nights and Yoga in a beach side pagoda. Beach volleyball with the guest’s v staff – great fun. The excellent service in the main house/library will organise anything you would like to see/do on the Island, sail etc.
The Island is quiet and unspoilt with a scattering of bars and restaurants mostly around the port. Very peaceful and uncrowded. A visit to Jack’s Bar is a must. This is the perfect spot to relax and swim and sleep . . with a little rum and music in the evening.
Advice:
1. Go half board or fully inclusive as you may only go to the other bars/restaurants on the island 3 or 4 times max. Unless its high season everywhere is very quite.
2. Do not use Expedia to book anything to do with your trip. They wont get you to the Island - be very careful. They use Liat airline which only fly's to St Vincent, adjacent Island only. Plus Liat cancelled 2 (yes 2) flights on our return trip due to faults and dumped us instead in Barbados. Expedia are not part of ABTA.

Room tip: Go for a Junior Suite

This hotel's restaurant is open to the public and while expensive, this had the most vegan options out of all the restaurants I visited on the island. For lunch at least 4 things on the menu were vegan or could be veganised including a veggie burger, salads, vegetable roti and a curry. This was the only restaurant I found to offer tofu which was the only vegan option for dinner but very tasty. Friendly staff and a great view of Friendship bay!

We spent a few days here celebrating hubby's birthday, and we had an amazing time.
The owner, Mr. Mordtstedt has done a remarkable job with this property. The place is spotless, the grounds well manicured and tended, the beach is cleaned of seaweed daily, and the staff are professional, courteous and welcoming. We had a regular "classic" room fronting the 2nd pool. While these are the original rooms, they have been renovated and are in top shape. The decor of the room, and the hotel in general, is done in a breezy, comfortable plantation style. We were here during the low season, so the atmosphere was very tranquil and relaxing.
The hotel has one open restaurant at this time, the Bagatelle. We had supper there on a couple of nights, and it was quite nice. Food was cooked properly with lovely presentation, albeit a bit bland. The prices were very reasonable.
If you wish to eat at other restaurants, you will need a car or taxi, as there are no other establishments within walking on that side of Bequia.
I have very little to criticise with this property! Maybe screens on the room doors and windows to allow open doors in the evenings to listen to the calming sound of the surf.
We look forward to returning!

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Bequia Beach Hotel! We stayed the week before they closed so the property was very quiet which we loved. The owner was on property and was mingling with the guests a wonderful man. We had a beachfront room very nice. The beach is fabulous and all the staff were fantastic. Breakfast is included and wonderful . The restaurant is right on the ocean making for fantastic views. I would recommend a day trip to Mustique with Mako charters you will see lots of turtles and rays and Lunch at Basils is great! A hike to the top of mount Peggy is awesome views stunning!many restaurants were closed due to off season but bequia beach has a great restaurant and the pizza place in town is great! A day trip to Tobago cays is a must also.
Enjoy!
