Fantastic gite, which we stayed in with our 4 month old baby and my parents in-law. It's even better suited to anyone with older children, as the gardens are big and there's plenty to keep them busy. The pool was a welcome relief from the lovely weather, and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. A charming couple who were there to offer advice or check in on us without us feeling over whelmed. We were lucky enough to be offered some of the fabulous produce from their vegetable patch which went down well with the local food & wine.
The location was great with a large supermarket 5 mins drive away, and a typical French bistro a 3 minute walk for a good value lunch!
Our hosts were extremely pleasant, helpful and discreet. The house was furnished beautifully and very well equipped. The grounds were large and the covered barbecue/sitting area was a delight. The shared pool area was left entirely to us and was a very relaxing spot. The location of the property was private but also within 5 minutes walk of the centre of the village with its own boulangerie/bistro/cafe immediately along side the cycleway which extended some 30+k from Bordeaux great facility and used by us for many enjoyable walks. A small negative was that due to the time of year the house was shaded most of the time by the trees and shrubs.
