We stayed in a large single self contained room next to the main accommodation, they say first impressions last well our room had the "Wow" factor. As you entered you noticed the cool tiled floor and the large King size bed with brilliant white bedding then on looking round there is an original fireplace with clever lighting( you have to find the light switch as it is not where you expect) but when you do find it you will be pleasantly surprised, also a large corner suite and the usual tea coffee making facilities complete the living space. The bathroom also has that luxury look that is found in the better hotels with large walk in shower that when you turn on the tap hot water at just the right temperature comes out. There were plenty of good quality towels so no need to bring your own. Outside there is a medium size pool although we never used this as we forgot our swimwear. Breakfast on our first day was a mixture of hot and cold food but we found that we preferred the selection of croissants brioche and danish pastries for the rest of our stay. Andy and Julie could not have been more helpful even volunteering to be a late night taxi driver as we were there for our daughters wedding in a nearby village, we declined their generous offer. All in all a brilliant place to stay.
