We are a family of 4 with children of 10 and 6, so I was slightly worried about staying in a vineyard chateau. But this was just a wonderful place to stay - the host Sylvie is just so welcoming, helpful and clearly an impressive businesswomen and wine grower. She and the person who helps her during the week speak good English if your French isnt up to standard. The rooms and the chateau itself more than live up to the website photos. Absolutely beautiful and amazing bathrooms. And wonderful views out on to the vines.
There is a gorgeous pool which we used both days there.
Breakfast is lovely - you all sit round one big dining table which is charming.
We had a private tour with Sylvie and did some wine tasting - really superb wine.

I would really recommend to both couples and families and look forward to visiting again!

Thank you so much Sylvie and I hope the electricity came on quickly after that crazy storm!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Clothilde suite which has 2 big rooms - the first the children can sleep in and the...

You drive up the long driveway and it really is Wow! It is a beautiful imposing building however surrounded by vineyards...all you hear are the animals and nothing else. We walked in and noticed how lovely and bright the entrance hall was and cool, perfect in 30 degrees. You can sit in the living areas which is just lovely.

Outside you can walk around the vineyards and sit outside the property with some wine, bliss.
They have a pool as well but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to use it.

We were in Chambre Marthe which was gorgeous, huge living space with sumptuous furnishings in keeping with Chateau style but all modern and new too. The bathroom and shower were lovely and modern. We had a view over the vineyards and some gorgeous wooden shutters you could throw open to admire the view.

Our hostess Sylvie was so friendly and welcoming, she left us a note and a bottle of wine from her vineyard which was such a lovely touch. Breakfast was typically french and just gorgeous, with lovely fresh breads and croissants and a beautiful grape juice that i loved! All very laid back and you could come and go as you pleased and nobody was imposing themselves on you which I loved.

We took home some bottles of Sylvie's Sauvignon Blanc which really was lovely.

Necessary to have a car though as there is not much near it but it is a Chateau so obviously not going to be in the centre of a busy town..

The only downside is that we couldn't spend more time there! But we will be back!

Room Tip: They are all lovely and have nice views but Marthe really was nice.

From the moment we stepped through the doors of this beautiful chateau we knew we hit the jack pot. Decor, ambience and surroundings were breath taking. Our delightful host Sylvie made us feel very welcome in her beautiful home, and her skills as a wine maker helped create further romance. Her Rose and Sauvignon Blanc are outstanding. The rooms are large and modern, and breakfast delightful. Thank you Sylvie and Merill - and of course lulu.. Our daughter misses him very much.

Room Tip: Clothilde is brilliant, and a great size if traveling with kids..

This is a lovely property with a true old world charm - a graceful curved staircase, original old door knobs - but modern amenities (like great bathrooms). The views from our room (one of the smaller rooms) were just what one would expect for the french countryside - grapevines, sweeping trees. Even though its very close to bordeaux, it feels like its own rural enclave. I felt like I was in high end B&B in the US.

The hostess Sylvie and her daughters really went the extra mile for us - arranging for a fed ex shipment, providing wine carriers to get our loot home. We were also able to go out to some excellent restaurants within 15 minutes that were fantastic. It is a great location for exploring Bordeaux. We would highly recommend it.

Arrived at the Chateau and was immediately impressed. It looks great.

This soon faded as nobody was there to greet us. A lady eventually spotted us looking around the grounds and ran over. She didn't speak any English but she called the owner who spoke with us. Then, having arrived at 6pm with our 1 year old expecting dinner, we were told that they "no longer do dinner", after we specifically picked and booked this place on that basis.

1 year old had to eat leftover lunch, parents had to eat cold McDonald's takeaway.

What a farce.

This evening I was unfortunately absent to welcome you ( my daughter's graduation ceremony) and Jeanine doesn't speak English .
On our website it is specify that we don't provide dinner on Friday , as I told you on our different message by email .
We have a lot of good french restaurants nearby , easy to find with internet ( access free in your room)
Anyway I was not in charge to provide the food for the baby , you had the opportunity to use the microwave during your 3 days stay , and you forgot you had dinners the 2 others day .

I hope you will never live more horrible than a cold Mc Donald .

We stayed as part of a 21st Birthday celebration, and had a wonderful time. The Chateau was delightful, a working vineyard and beautifully restored to welcome visitors. The rooms and decor tastefully modern, very comfortable, with old family pieces dotted here and there. Breakfast was a generous continental style, served in the lovely dining room. It was a pleasure to have been able to share the home of Sylvie Dulong for a few days, and she arranged a beautiful birthday meal in the dining room accompanied by delicious wine from the vineyard. Sitting in the garden or around the pool was relaxing , and due to its location, Bordeaux, St Emilion and surrounding areas were gained with ease in under 20 minutes. Utterly charming , we look forward to going back.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of May, 2013. It is a beautiful Chateau and Vineyard only 15-20 minutes from Bordeaux. It is about 1/4 mile from the main, separated 2 lane highway. Not too near but also not too far. Beautiful setting on a working vineyard. You really feel like you are away from it all. The Chateau is beautiful and elegant. Large common living room and dining room on the first floor. We stayed in suite Clothilde which was very large and just as it is portrayed on the website. (Actually we thought it was nicer then the website.) The suite was very comfortable for 3 people- my wife and myself and our adult daughter. Sylvie, the owner is very nice, and friendly. Her english is excellent. She gave us a tour of the wine making facility which was fascinating. Her Bordeaux Superior is delicious. We ate at 2 lovely near bye restaurants that she recommended. The continental breakfast in the formal dinning room was great. It was very easy to get to Bordeaux - 15-20 mins by car. We considered staying in a Bordeaux hotel, but this was much nicer and a much better value. If you are going to be near Bordeaux, this is a wonderful place to stay in the countryside.

Room Tip: The Clothilde suite actually has two separate rooms- it is extremely large and gets great light and...
