“Completely Perfect!!!”

We found this incredible vacation spot online and it was everything we hoped for!! I don't even know where to begin. My husband and I rented the treetop cottage and our two twenty something boys, and their two buddies, rented the two bedroom unit. Both places are beautiful! The two bedroom is like a nautical museum, and being sailors, we were in heaven. Having the sailboats available as well as bikes and kayaks gave us so much to do without even leaving the property. The owners and property managers are so friendly and made a point to meet us all. The owners even give you a bottle of wine in a nautical shaped vessel upon arrival- such a nice touch. We grilled often, buying local seafood, and enjoyed the sunsets, wild birds, manatees, etc. We took a day trip to Key West and a day trip to snorkel at the John Pennekamp State Park, but one could easily just spend their entire week here. It was fabulous and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone- especially sailors who have a difficult time not chartering a boat for a vacation! It was the best of all worlds!!! :)

“Wonderful week on Conch Key in the Tree Top Cottage.”
Reviewed 27 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

My wife and I just spent a week on Conch Key Cottage and had a wonderful, relaxing week of sailing the Florida Keys. The Tree Top Cottage was perfect for what we wanted - a place to "get away" and do some sailing. The property managers, Danny and Michelle, were very helpful and fun. We plan to go back hopefully in October.

Liked best: Location was great and the amenity of a sailboat was exciting.
Liked least: Not much. Maybe the drive from the airport in Fort Lauderdale.

“Fantastic Experience”

From the first inquiry to the return of our deposit, this was a great experience. We stayed 7 nights, and sailed 5 out of the 6 full days there on the Florida Bay. The room was very clean, the view outstanding. If you like "cozy," this is the place. The on site resident managers, Danny and Michelle, were more than accommodating, and we were treated like welcome guests, not just random occupants. The boats were in excellent condition, there are three, one for each lodging spot. Danny took time with us when we arrived to make sure we were comfortable with the boats. If we had been novice, he could have been hired to give sailing lessons during our stay. He and his wife, Michelle, lived on board their Morgan for 5 years, so he knows his stuff, plus he has his Captain's License for like 100,000 lbs. vessels or something like that. The owners, Tom and Peggy, live close and you are invited to use their gazebo on the Atlantic side by their house, beautiful place to watch a sunrise or sunset, great photo opt. The fleet of bikes, almost antique bikes, are all kept in good running order by Danny or Tom, and the bike trail beside the bridge for four miles one way provides a safe and interesting peddle as you cross over a water pass. Fresh fish can be had a few hundred feet from you place from a commercial boat that arrives on Conch Key every weekday around 4:00 p.m., but you must clean them yourself. Fishing from the near by bridge is fun. If you love sailing, or think that you could love sailing, this is the spot. We could not have been more pleased.

“I had a fabulous stay.”

The cottages beautifully decorated, immaculately clean. The boats are well maintained and very clean, too. The owners and managers are friendly and go out of their way to point you to the full "key experience".

“Best of everything we looked for.”

Sailing buddy and I looked for an affordable place to sail in warm waters and we found it with Caribbean Soul Charters on Conch Key. Our comfortable apartment came with all the amenities, especially the great little sailboat, well cared for and well equipped. Located in the Middle Keys, laid back Conch Key is an easy drive to any of the sights along the Keys. The little store just down the street carries Key Lime Pies, and the local fishermen come home in the afternoons with a fresh catch. Hosts Tom and Peggy are gracious, and Dan and Michelle are there to help, too. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

“Your very own sailboat and cottage on the water with sunset views in the fabulous Florida Keys!”
Reviewed 4 December 2012 for a stay in November 2012

As a frequent visitor to the Florida Keys, this has been one of the best hideaways that we have discovered and love to come back to. It is rare to find such a nicely maintained sailboat dedicated to you along with your accommodations.

Conch Key is a unique fishing village on an charming island in the heart of the Florida Keys. Marathon is just 10 miles away where you'll find a multitude of restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The proprietors are helpful, friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. We have had the opportunity to stay in each of the 3 units in the past. Each has their own unique charm. Two thumbs up!

Sandrine, merci pour votre gentil avis! We were happy to welcome your family and help you enjoy your visit to the Keys. It was very fortunate the manatees (lamantins) visited us for 2 days of your stay and you were able to enjoy other attractions and activities here. Nous sommes impatients de vous accueillir à Conch Key!
