We stayed for 3 nights over Easter weekend. The positives - the rooms are charming and well appointed; the setting is beautiful; the facilities all are kept well maintained. The negatives - it is expensive in comparison to other nicer hotels in area...such as Wheatsheaf (Northleach); or Bibury Court. Additionally, there is no service available to you. Check in time is a very short window btwn 4-5pm...otherwise, you must get your key from a lockbox. No one was available for the entire 3 days in the reception we were there. Additionally, although charming...the noises at 6am in the morning of the barn animals below woke us up each morning.
My suggestion...look around first. If they brought prices down somewhat...and had someone on hand to be in reception...it coudl have been a more 'worthwhile' experience.
