“Our stay in Chedi Muscat Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

My wife and i stay in Chedi Muscat hotel for three nights on June 17 2014 , two night in Deluxe room and the last one in suite .
First the good things i like about the hotel :
the location : One of the main reason why I choice the Chedi Muscat hotel , is the remote location from the city center . because I was looking for a quite vacation .
Another reason why I choice the hotel , is the beach side where I enjoyed the swim and sunbathe , and the tweets of the birds , which was the only sound we hear in the balcony , and the sound of wave is the only sound we hear during the sunbath .
Hotel stuff remind us of the free Accommodations , especially after we upgrade our deluxe room to a sea view suite .
Another thing we like , is the Spa, and the massage .

Second : what i didn't like about the hotel :
Small stones on the beach .
Meals are kinda expenses .
No sea entertainment such as Jet Ski Rental or parachute ..etc
Regards
ALobaid Osama - Kuwait

Room Tip: a map of the hotel buildings should be in every room .

Dear ALobaid,

Thank you for taking the time to write us this detailed review of your recent stay with us.

It is with delight to note that you have particularly enjoyed the beach amongst others and the hotel location was to your personal preference. Your feedback about the stones on the beach is much appreciated and we will surely do our utmost best in improving our beach area while your thoughts on sea entertainment is something we are limited to due to local legislation.
For the upcoming moth we are in process of creating new dining options to offer great value for money.

Once again, thank you and I am looking forward to welcome you back soon.

This is my Second stay at the Chedi, i stayed ath their club suite "private villa", for me it was perfecf.. Quiet season not too much tourists, i love thier staff very friendly and helpful & their infinity and long pool are just amazing for relaxation & and leisure or just bathing under the sun. Their dine in restuarant was beyond spectacular! Specially thier chef! The only draw back was the inifinity pool has no shading specially during noon time it gets exteremly hot! Beside i wished the private villlas had a private outdoor mini pool or bathtub.. Other than that,i cant wait to come back again next year! Thank u Chedi i Loved every bit of of it! Dont miss their breakfast buffet ! Their chef really earned that michelin star ! Exotic food fusion made out of simple/fresh ingredients! Also their SPA is top notch! I tried last time their 90min massage and this year their 20min foot massage.. really paid off and u can arrange for couples massage as well! If you are looking for a quick getaway? The chedi is your place to be!

This is just one of those hotels you just don't want to leave. My husband was in Muscat on business in 2013. My daughter (23) and I tagged along. Hubby and I were in a sumptuous Chedi Club Suite 'villa'. These villas are set in the grounds and offer the last word in luxury with king-size bed, open plan bathroom with sunken bath, separate bedroom and lounge, individual balcony, 42" tvs, Bose sound systems, luxury products, access to all sorts of perks in the hotel, and so much more. A short walk to the private beach, pools, spa/gym, restaurants etc. Just glorious!
But this visit, June 2014, my friend, other daughter (21) and myself were booked in the basic Serai rooms. However, we were upgraded to Deluxe rooms. :) But in the Chedi there are no 'basic' rooms. This is a luxury hotel in every sense of the word. The quality of all rooms, the care and attention given to service, products, your every need is considered and fulfilled.
The spa is wonderful, both pools and attached catering are idyllic, the restaurant is well-organised, the service from all staff is always welcoming and efficient. The food whether breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks in between is difficult to fault.
There is an air of quiet luxury, there is a sense of calm, all stress is effortlessly eased away. If you are fortunate enough to stay in the little peace of heaven, grab it with both hands. And give yourself the option of staying a bit longer than you meant to. :)

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms in this hotel.

We just returned after a week end at The Chedi and have to admit it was a wonderful break. The rooms are well kept, extremely clean an of a basic good standard.
The check in was smooth, quick and professional, the atmosphere on arrival gives you the full picture about the Hotel, very classy.
The Hotel design is amazing, i am an interior designer freak and i just love this place.
The F&B on offer is on a very high scale, great job Chef and his Team, even the beef burger is not as common burger but a delicious wagyu ...
Best part of our short stay... the pool service...
Best experience is with the main pool team
How can you motivate the pool team under such a terrible weather conditions?
they keep the smile on their face and really attentive... amazing
Only disappointment
sun beds on the beach in front of the horizon pool, doesn't make any sense and takes the view effect away once you are in the water...not good
Overall condition of the pool area , looks very tired and not mantained...

Overall a wonderful experience, great team members and great hospitality

get in touch with me for more info

i will be back as soon as i have time

GREAT HOTEL

We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Chedi Muscat and are true believers in GHM Hotels after this stay and one in Bali a year ago. Hands down, the Chedi is the most sophisticated, luxurious, and tasteful hotel in Muscat. When you arrive, you're whisked away to a frankincense-infused room and treated to a delicious drink and cold towels. From there you'll be taken on a tour of the facilities and will be impressed by the design and layout of the sprawling resort, which is an architectural gem. The service is top notch here. See if you can pass a member of the staff on your way to breakfast who won't greet you with a smile. The Serai rooms are simple but sleek and come with full-size Acqua di Parma products and a powerful rain shower. The beach leaves a little to be desired but is okay for swimming and sunning. If you have a chance, hit up the staff in the lobby lounge for some afternoon tea and cookies or a mint lemonade as a break from the heat outside. Definitely don't miss the breakfast, which is so extensive you could spend several hours each day sampling dishes from around the world and the array of freshly squeezed juices. Thanks again to the wonderfully trained and courteous international staff who made our visit so memorable.

Not exceptional but nonetheless very good.

It needs reenergising

Food is good but similar to,so many other places nearby

Still a favourite hotel and restaurant just needs a bit more life and needs to attract the younger generation
