Stayed for a week in the Best Western in Muscat , in brief you have to be careful with the reception as they tend to do lot of mistakes , such as our agent booked two separate rooms, upon arrival they say no you will be staying in same room but twin bed, went up and discovered its a kind size bed ! when called FO , they said oh ok come and pick up your second key for the other room , second point you need to pay attention that you need to click on the "clean my room" icon next to exit door as they didn't clean my room for 3 days since I didn't click that icon noting that no letter or no instruction on this regard anywhere in the room .

room is well appointed , forget about the view as view is over a storage/ loading bay , its purely a business hotel located in al Khuwair area not far from major destinations , room is clean , free wireless in the hotel , Gym is underground lacking good ventilation , swimming pool underground I never saw anyone going to use it , service is ok as I noticed that service in the city is just average or less even compared to Dubai service as a benchmark , Breakfast is good , good coffee , omelet station , too bad there is not waffles , if you ask for pancakes they offer crepes , but still fruit cuts fresh and good quality , pastry is too poor , I didn't take even from looking at it , looks pale, in brief if you stay all day outside in business and you need to come and have a comfortable bed , ok breakfast , good room service , iron and iron board , wireless free , all are available , again during check out FO team wanted to charge us noting that our agent has paid fully in advance, so something has to be done for FO , training , traces , whatever needed that they get a strong follow up and not to keep guests waiting long until they realize we are right !

Room Tip: ask for a room with main street view , its not noisy as its an internal street and better view than nearby loading bays !

The hotel is new with very comfortable and quiet rooms. However the smell from the restaurant and the kitchen just fills up the whole hotel area even up to the top floor rooms.
The service is extremely poor and the staff is wildly unfriendly. They ran out of Pepsi and sparkling water in a Best Western hotel. This is unthinkable for example in a hotel with decent staff and management.
I was there for a 3 days business trip. Not sure if I would ever come back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Get top floor rooms (8th floor being the top floor)

I stayed in this hotel for business. It is a new hotel that is finding its feet. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. The standard of cuisine is not very good, there is a wide but average selection for breakfast and the room service menu does not hold many healthy options.

As I was there for business nearby, the location was not a problem for me, but it is a bit out of the way in Muscat. There is nowhere to go out for a walk to nearby. Also as it is a residential/quieter area I would recommend that women do definately cover up (long sleeves and trousers/skirts below the knee).

I would have given this hotel a 3.5 out of 5 if I could.

Everything is brand new as this is newly established property, rooms are nice and spacious, huge flat screen tv, free wifi. They offer buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner; variety is not too wide actually especially at breakfast however whatever is available is good; dinner buffet was actually nice and delicious with a selection of desserts and fruits and several good hot dishes; the waldorf salad i had there is one of the best i've tried. the night shift receptionist is very polite and helpful while the others all require lots of training and need to be more friendly and attentive as they simply don't care what happens around. location is in close proximity to everything and the hotel staff can order you a taxi when you need

Room Tip: all rooms are good with good amenities
