“Good hotel in a difficult location - more on the good size”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

I had a one night stay at this hotel and cannot complain about it. The rooms are quite large, very good buffet at breakfast, convenient restaurant but the location is not the best.

The hotel is pretty much far from everything and even finding decent restaurants around is difficult. If you have business in this area or have a car I would definitely recommend the hotel but if not, you need to think about transportation every time you leave the hotel.

On the good side, finding taxis were quite easy to me.

Room Tip: Try to be as far as possible from the street as it can be quite noisy late evening.

In general the hotel was not bad, the location is ok, the rooms are spacious and the surroundings were more into industrial places.

The management has to pay attention into details for the in-room service. Complementary bottles of water were not sealed, the two of them were open and the number of mini bar items don't match with the items' list.
The AC was calm but not cooling well
The hotel is business friendly with good value for money

Room Tip: Stay far from elevators

I spent one night at the best western premier and it was a welcomed experience. The rooms were well furnished and clean. The reception was slow and didn't give timely feedback but my overall stay was great; had nice breakfast, wonderful lunch and good speed internet services free of charge. I was pleased with my stay to be excited to find another Best Western Premier in Nairobi.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with view of the city.

We have just returned from our trip to Muscat. My family and I booked into two twin rooms for nine days. It was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in for the price we paid. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds and hot showers. The staff were always friendly and helpful and one gentleman ( Mr M. Sayabi) on his break was so kind as to help my husband replace a flat tyre. We were very grateful for his help.

We opted to have breakfast and there was enough variety to keep everyone happy.

The free wi-fi access was very much appreciated as were the compliementary bottled water.

My children used the pool several times. It was a decent size and clean.

On the whole, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other families considering a holiday in Muscat.

Clean and comfortable hotel, with quick wifi which is always a bonus when travelling on business.

The open plan of the hotel (Atrium style) does mean that you can hear the breakfast clinking of cups and cutlery from 6:30am even up to the 4th floor which is a negative.

We were originally put in a room on the 7th floor (713), which was underneath the air conditioning units. The loud buzzing and vibrating kept us awake so the next morning we asked to move rooms. We were initially told 'no' but after asking again, they moved us. As we started unpacking our stuff in our new room (203), there was a knock on the door and a technician (who like receptionists also didn't speak English) came into the room, took a panel out of the ceiling and started working. Another technician came and we left them to it. When we got back from dinner, the electricity in our room didn't work. It took a while for anyone to come, which was a little frustrating as we wanted to get to bed. The technician reset the fuses and we went to bed thinking that would be the end of the story. Unfortunately, we woke up the next morning to find water dripping heavily from the ceiling through a light fitting. We immediately called reception to let them know what was happening but were told abruptly that as it was 7 am, we 'had to wait until at least 8 am before they could send anyone'. They didn't seem at all fussed that water was seeping through the walls and in contact with electricity! We checked out 15 minutes later and got out of there!

Room Tip: Do not accept a room on the 7th floor.

After a long trip to Thailand with 2 restless nights we finally arrived to spend one night in this very nice hotel.
The room is clean and equipped with all you may need. Wifi is fast and free. Large TV screen. Tea and coffee sets. Breakfast was just great where nothing missed. The room had no special view but the area is in central Muscat and not too far from airport. The indoor swimming pool was quite small and deserted and the gym had all basic equipments. Taxis are available at the door and the fares are fixed (8 rials to airport). This hotel is recommended unless you want a luxury hotel with a view over the sea.
