The Colonial on Arundel

We stayed at the Colonial on Arundel for 4 nights. We took the complete offer, including game drives and diner(s). Everything was perfect, from the suite to the breakfast and housediner and everything between. The game drive with host Connor was the highlight of our stay there. He drove us throughout the Addo NP, and we were lucky also to see lions. Connor knows so much about wildlife that it is a real pleasure to listen to him. You don't get bored a single moment. Also the game drive in Schottia worth the transfer.
The only slight minus point is that you have to drive some distance for a good restaurant (just once), but the road is very good.
Conclusion: the COA is an absolute must when visiting Addo NP.

I would highly recommend a stay at The Colonial.

Molly and Conor are wonderful hosts and their accommodation is beautiful. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived and were greeted by their lovely dog Marley. Our room was fresh, clean and airy we had a separate spacious bathroom and lounge area, where there was books, tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk and lemon, biscuits, water and even sherry! Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit with yoghurt, fresh juice, tea/coffee, toast, eggs of your choice, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and all so beautifully presented.

Molly was really helpful before we arrived in helping book a canoe trip and game drive with Conor and while we were there making lunch and dinner reservations for us.

We were only there two nights, and would have loved to have stayed longer. Molly's little touches made it a really memorable stay.

We are return guests of the Colonial and simply love this wonderful farm located close to Addo. Molly and Connor are the most gracious hosts you can possibly imagine, and the guesthouse provides all the amenities (and more) for a comfortable stay. We do recommend to book their 3-night package, which includes one of Molly's lovely dinners, and a truly memorable game drive with Connor. But most all, enjoy the warm hospitality and relaxing atmosphere on the farm - and give Marley (a cross between a cream Labrador and a Boerbul) a big hug from us!

Room Tip: We like the two suites - Fitzpatrick and Kirkwook - which are both spacious and have a private plung...

When my wife and I decided to visit our daughter and son-n-law in Lesotho Africa we decided we would take them on a trip to South Africa and one of the places we chose was Addo Elephant Park. We were looking for a nice place to stay and came across great reviews for the "The Colonial on Arundel". We looked at the pictures and decided this was the place! We were completely thrilled when we arrived and especially being greeted by Molly and Conner. What a great couple and they also had a wonderful yellow lab named Marley. We were made to feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Not only were the accommodations fantastic but their recommendations for dinner at Hazels nearby made for a perfect first evening. Conner drove us and picked us up when we were ready and provided us with history of the region along the way. Molly made us reservations for an afternoon safari and then for a plane ride to an elephant reserve where we walked with elephants for half a day. Each morning we had a full breakfast which was simply delicious. Molly creates a beautiful setting in which we enjoyed a relaxing wonderful meal. She is such a gracious woman. If planning a trip we would highly recommend the Junior Suite as it is spacious and tastefully decorated. This Inn is in a quiet setting surrounded by citrus groves and sits in a garden oasis. My wife and I plan to one day return and when we do, a longer stay with Molly and Conner is high on our wish list!! We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone traveling to Addo Elephant Park. Make reservations early as they are popular!!!!

Room Tip: The Inn has three rooms. Two are suites which we booked for ourselves and our daughter and son-n-la...

We booked the three day Ultimate Addo Package and it proved to be a great decision. Molly provides all the home comforts a traveller could think of and Conor the knowledge of the game reserves and the witty commentary to make it a stay to remember. We can fully understand why they are fully booked. If you are in the Addo area get your reservation in early. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Only three rooms and all of the high standard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Colonial and we're very well taken care of by our charming hosts, Molly and Connor. The settings of this place are magnificent and the rooms were very generous (suites actually). We took the game drive at Addo Elephant Park with Connor and this was also a very worthwhile experience. I loved the stories he told us about the wildlife in general and elephants in particular. Highly recommended! The breakfast and everything else was alosverygood and even washing our car was part of the service. We will come here again on our next trip.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Colonial and were made very welcome. Our self-contained suite was excellent, with many homely touches provided by Molly, who also gave us a really good breakfast. Conor took us for a 4 hour game drive in Addo, mow here we saw a majestic herd of elephant and many other species - he is a great story teller. It was a lovely stay.
