Very convenient located B&B if you are on your to Addo Elephant National Park. A large perfect room on the 1st floor with a great view and excellent breakfast. The warm water took a while, but who cares we are on a holiday. We enjoyed it!

The hosts were extremely accommodating and very friendly, the rooms was very comfortable and neat and clean, very lovely location next to the Sundays River where one could take a leisurely walk. Plus it is just about on the Addo South gate enterance.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms would be good because all facing the River

The room we had was upstairs, very spacious, clean and with its own patio from which we saw plenty of bird life. The bed ....huge... was very comfortable too. The breakfasts were a real treat, with freshly baked bread each morning with homemade jams, fresh fruit and the traditional English breakfast. All served by very friendly owners and staff. Altogether a very good stay!

Western travelled from Addo Park to Colchester and the Happy Jackal.
Reception was very warm and our room excellent.
The approach to the guest house needs sorting out as it is quite rough with stones.
Breakfast was superb.
We did not use the one site pool but we wandered around the very large garden areas down to the river.
Happy Jackal is a lovely place. We enjoyed it enormously.
Thank you.

Room Tip: Not sure we could help

This guesthouse is run by husband and wife with the support of Zanette. It certainly was a fantastic find recommended to us by friends who had been there twice before. The room was ideal. Breakfast with home made jams and everything so well organised.

They booked a safari for us. In hindsight I wish we had booked longer and stayed there for extra time rather than staying in Addo.
