“Beautiful Location, OK Crepes”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

How is it that it is so hard to find really good crepes? They are after all available in at least every other restaurant in Brittany and are not, exactly, complicated are they??

So, La Misaine. Currently rated No 1 resto in Saint Marine so maybe our expectations were too high? Yes the location and view is very beautiful. Yes, there are all sorts of interesting and innovative crepes on the menu but at the end of the day I am afraid that our small group voted them "OK but nothing special".

Yes the service was fine ( young and enthusiastic), the cider was as to be expected (although we tried the less usual draft version) but overall we were disappointed .

“Real Galette here”
Reviewed 3 April 2013

Very Pleasant
Excellent service with a wide choice of fillings both savoury and sweet if you must, do try the one with Grand Marnier; I am told they are “magnificent”!
Lovely views of the river nice outdoor seating when the weather is good!

Note for Coeliac
If you want genuine “Galette” ( sometimes in error called Crêpes) for a savoury Main Course, made with just “buck wheat” and not a mixture with flour as is generally the case, this is one a very few places in the whole of Brittany where they can be had.
So for those with gluten sensitive, yes! you can have “pancakes”.
Do not have the Crêpes as they are made with conventional mixture

“Excellent”
Reviewed 4 November 2012

Pretty Creperie overlooking the water at Sainte-Marine. Six of us were on a sailing holiday in Brittany and we moored on the pontoon nearby. Service was good and the crepes were excellent, as was the traditional cider! Would definitely return. A lovely village to visit as there was a market at the top of the road for re-victualling.

Very good crepe's... good service and great views of the harbour.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 5 February 2012

Located beside the harbour in the tiny seaside resort of Combrit, which is close to Benodet, we discovered this delightful little creperie, serving a great selection of this typical Normandy dish. It was by far the best creperie we discovered on our recent trip. It is not overly large, so if you intend to lunch there as we did, plan to get there early. Because it is so good it fills up quickly around noon. Not expensive with a more than adequate wine list, with very friendly staff. We highly recommend.
