La Marienne is a beautiful, calm, welcoming place to spend time. The tranquil environment and friendly hosts made it a delight to return to at the end of some busy days and we'd love to stay there again to discover more of the surrounding area - perhaps actually make it onto the water next time! Francois and Francoise were exceptionally welcoming and it felt like we were staying with them, and yet we were left to enjoy our own space and peace. The rooms were very clean and 'Les Coquelicots' beautifully decorated with a door onto the garden and our own terrace where lots of bread and cheese was eaten. I would definitely return and would recommend staying here to anyone wanting a great base from which to explore the area.
