Accending the hill through the woods up to the monastry is very nice. The monastry itself is not very impressive, and the nice side with the view towards Abano Terme was unfortunately closed.

Very nice place on the top of a hill overviewing Abano and surroundings. They have a nice little museum which is worth to bee seen. Go on the terrace before and look the nice garden and area. In the museum the sisters sell various articles, which most of them are done by them. In addition there is a very nice a tasty liquor available. You can also test same before or after in the Coffee Shop.

A lot of the hotels in Abano Terme have bicycles that are available for use by the guests. I'm someone who has trouble sitting by the pool all day, though the hotel pools at Abano Terme with their wonderful thermal mineral-infused waters are making me a convert. One day I decided to take one the bicycles for a spin. There is a more famous monastery that is only a 5 minute ride from the hotel where I was staying so I decided to ride to Monastero Di San Daniele as well. You take a road that leads towards Montegrotto and after a short distance on the secondary highway, you turn off to a country road with a bike lane. All quite safe and all quite flat until you get to the road that gies up to the monastery. It is a 1 km steady climb with countless switch backs. On my 1 speed heavy hotel bike complete with generators for lights, it was a good workout. I passed a man who was running up the hill, but for the last 150 meters I got off the bike and pushed it the rest of the way. The runner caught up and passed me. When I got to the monastery itself, you can look inside the chapel and there is a museum store. The chapel is a wonderful building but not much else to see. For me, it was a good opportunity for some exercise and it made going to the pool afterwards that much better. After all, the mineral water in the pools us supposed to be restorative. The whole ride to two monasteries, and along the bikeways in Abano Terme, and circling the Park inside the town took just over 1 hour. I took a water bottle because it was about 35 degrees Celsius.
