“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

We stayed at this peaceful gem of a hotel when traveling through Piedmont by bike. Our third floor room was beautiful with large windows, beamed ceiling, huge marble bathroom and king size bed overlooking the garden. It was lovely to relax by the pretty pool in the garden after a long day of biking. The included buffet breakfast was very good with a lot of variety.

As part of a "casual" bike trip, we stayed here last month. What a pleasant surprise; Very elegant with lovely grounds. The proximity to the lovely town of Acqui Terme really helped, and it was a plus in every way.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the gardens

We found this gem of a hotel while rambling trip through Europe with no pre-planning. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. The Hotel is amazing for the price. All the amenities you'd expect and more are available. From the pool, to an excellent restaurant and a full service spa, Hotel Roma Imperiale is an excellent experience.

The hotel staff was pleasant and courteous and more than willing to help whenever possible. Our room on the second floor was actually two rooms in one with a queen and king size bed. A full marble bathroom completed the ensemble. This is a terrific place to stay and relax. We heartily endorse it.

Room Tip: The room at the front of the hotel on the second floor overlooking reception is gigantic and quiet.

We were booked here as part of a cycling package and found the hotel to be a pleasant surprise. Located just outside of the old part of the city, the hotel is surrounded by trees midway up a small hill. It is quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle. We had a room on the second floor with two rooms. My daughter was thrilled to have her own room and a nice view of the gardens. We did not use the pool although it looked terrific. From the hotel it is a short walk into the village where you can enjoy any of the many cafes and restaurants. There is good shopping on market days and plenty of stunning architecture. The breakfast at the hotel is great--lots of variety and very friendly service.

Hotel Roma Imperiale is a charming villa surrounded by greenery with imposing Roman statues in the garden and a pool. The Interior is beautifully decorated and is very spacious. It is spotlessly clean. A varied and appetising continental breakfast is served in the elegant dining room.
We were surprised by the size and elegance of our room! It was practically a suite! We had an elegantly decorated four poster bed, some pieces of furniture, 2 sofas,a coffee table and a bureau! The bathroom, all in marble, was large too!

The staff at Roma Imperiale are wonderful. They met all our requests and did their best to make our stay a memorable one! It was my birthday and my husband ordered flowers and a cake. They complimented by sending us a bottle of sparkling wine!! Very much appreciated!

One thing which in our opinion could be modified....I am not against the fact that if one uses the outdoor and indoor pool facilities for a whole day, one has to pay, but there should be a concession for those who only wish to use the pool for a quick dip or use a sun-bed to relax after a day sightseeing. It is not fair if one arrives at 4pm or 5pm and wishes to spend a couple of hours by the pool to pay the same amount as if one spent the whole day.

Apart from this, everything was to our expectations and will surely visit again. Thanks for making our stay and my birthday a memorable one!

Carmen

A old hotel with plenty of charm. Our room overlooked the office which meant we didn't get much fresh air through the open window plus very conscious of privacy. Be ware that there is a big difference btn best and worst rooms! AC didnt work very well, despite a coolish night the room was a bit stuffy. There is a lovely pool and garden out the back but because of the orientation of our room we didnt get to see it. The rooms are very large, bathroom too. Squeaky clean. The hotel is a good 15 minutes walk to town, a steep hill going down then up on the way back. Internet coverage free and ok. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again, but ask for a room overlooking the back of the hotel and pool/garden.

When we arrived at the hotel we aere greeted by a young women who spoke both Italian and English fluently. I was a wam day and we had just completed a 32 mile ride from Alessandria. I asked if we could get a couple of glasses of white wine which she said yes and would bring it to our room with some appetizers because you should not have the wine with out something to eat as well. i asked how much she said not charge. We were informed that breakfast was at 7AM I asked if we could get something earlier so we could get on the road to avoid the heat she said no problem if you are in Acqui Terme and had a full breakfast ready for us a 6AM. the recommendation for dinner was superb. If you are in Acqui Terme and want a Great place to stay look no further. they also have spa with massages but not on Sunday's

Room Tip: Any one is good
