“The Wonders of Agrigento”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

The 'vallee di tempi' is truly one of the greatest wonders of the ancient world. The Temples, especially Concordia and Juno, are spectacular and cannot fail to impress all who visit. Sicily helps us make sense of the ancient world and Agrigento's Greek Temple complex is no exception.

“Better than any ruins in Greece!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

The Valley of the Temples contains temples that are in much better condition than many of those in Greece! And the sandstone used to build them looks beautiful in the light of sunset, so visit during the day with a guide, but come back in the evening for sunset, and for when the Valley is lit with soft glowing lights. A good guide for the Valley is Michele Gallo at Sicily Travel Net.

“Great archeological site”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

The Valley of the Temples is well worth a visit. They are all in very good condition and the views are great. It was very hot when we were there and our guide did go on a bit, but it was really interesting!

“Stunning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

This was very impressive, however make sure to get a good English speaking guide. We lucked out despite the person being very sweet. Price EUR70 for a guide 90 minutes

“The temples are with the trip to Sicily”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

The beauty and condition of the Valley o f the Temples surpasses any picture that you might find in a travel guide.
The condition of the temples is extraordinary, and the views are amazing. No wonder the greeks picked this site.
We visited the site at the end of July. I think one good decision we made was to visit late in the afternoon when the heat is more bearable. We had an incredible sunset and later the artificial illumination gives a mystical sense to the visit.
