Clean, modern rooms. Management polite, attentive, and helpful. Excellent English. B&B difficult to locate--a nice, non-English speaking Sicilian looked at our map and guided us there. It's true what they say about parking right by the gas station and "looking down"--but upon arrival you doubt yourself that this can be right. Breakfast is basic though just fine: fruit, bread, coffee. In-house restaurant was an excellent dinner.

Room Tip: beds are low to the ground--if you have difficulty with that, ask which room would be easiest for yo...

We stayed for one night in early April as a base to see the Valley of the Temples. The B&B was hard to find by auto, as our GPS indicated "You have arrived", and all we could see was a gas station. Turns out there is a stairway adjacent to the gas station (with a small sign for the Villa Pirandello not visible from the road) that leads downhill to the B&B (which is not visible from the road). We parked at a lot a few blocks away and were finally able to find the place on foot. Once located, we were able to park on the street adjacent to the gas station and tote our bags down to the B&B. Our host was very welcoming and provided good advice on the best way to see the Valley of the Temples. The Palazzo and gardens are very beautiful and serene, a nice break from the traffic noise of the city. Location was good, just a few minutes from the archeological sites by car, and easy walking distance to the restaurants in the old city. Our room was spacious with good bathroom facilities. Breakfast was in a pleasant glass enclosed terrazzo, with average breakfast fare. There is a nice seating area in the garden behind the Palazzo with limited views to the sea.

Very kind welcome at the lovely Liberty style villa once belonging to the playwright's family. Set in a shady garden of palm and orange trees. Spotlessly clean, simple room. Pirandello quotation painted on wall. V.Good breakfast. You can park your car on the side of a road nearby. Best choice for anyone coming to see the ancient Greek temples at Agrigento and interested in the great playwright Pirandello.

A most conveniently situated b&b. It is a stone's throw from the central railway station. Take a five minute walk and you are on Via Atenea. The host was most accommodating; he would ask what we might want for breakfast. He offered a chocolate tart (yummo) and made a ricotta filled crostata (double yum). Room was clean and comfortable. A nice touch was a quotation from a Pirandello work, L'esclusa: not, perhaps, the cheeriest of works but undeniably atmospheric. I'd most certainly stay here again.

It is a great feeling to be able to stay in the house which hosted one of Italy's best minds. The building is beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean. The owner is very charming even if at times his willgness to be of help may be a bit overwhelming, but he is truly resourceful. The restraurant in the courtiard offers greeat dishes and a good variety of wines. Highly recommended!

A paradise, that's what it is! Comfortable, tasteful and cosy rooms decorated with citations of Pirandello, a nice terrace with a garden to look at the sunset, a very hearty owner who tells enthusiastic stories about his city Agrigento and knows everything one can find or do there. Combined with a good restaurant on the same grounds you can think yourself in a small village, but you are very near the centre of one of Sicily's vivid cities and the Valley of the Temples.
We loved to be there, we prolonged our stay because we didn't want to leave.

I enjoyed Villa Pirandello so much that I decided to stay there 4 nights instead of 2 initially planned. The location is perfect - in the historic center of Agrigento, but also surrounded by beautiful private garden, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. Michele treats his guests as part of the family. He makes sure you get everything to feel comfortable and gives brilliant recommendations on places to go. I look forward to coming back. Look no further in Agrigento - Villa Pirandello is great and probably the best value for money I've ever seen.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the terrace are very nice.
