B&B Villa Pirandello
Ranked #53 of 225 Agrigento B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 29 June 2014

The villa is a beautiful old building with a very nice garden. The b&b is at 2 minutes walking distance from the main shopping streets of agrigento. The rooms are large enough and clean. The hotel manager provides excellent service and he can give you much of advise about the city and the surroundings. The breakfast is good as well.
The restaurant which is in the garden of the b&b is one of the very best in agrigento.

We stayed at this B & B for a week and really got to know and experience the area and the people. The owner, Michele, did everything possible to make us feel comfortable and at home. He helped us plan our time and activities so that we would have a wonderful stay and see all the sights as well as some strictly local things. My husband had a respiratory infection and Michele called his doctor, drove us to the pharmacy and led us through the process to obtain the needed prescriptions. He arranged for a driver to take us to cities and sights that we wanted to visit. Because we were staying for a week,Michele even took us to see the Valley of the Temples by night which was an unbelievable sight. The breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable, the owners are the best hosts and we are so happy we chose this B&B.

We stayed here at the end of April. Good location for visiting Agrigento and coastal sites such as Scala dei Turchi. Hosts provided wealth of information on what to see. We ate 2 nights in the on-site slow food restaurant. Excellent food and good advice on choice of local Sicilian wines. Very quiet location, in spite of being in the middle of town, with good street parking, accessible by steps up to the B&B

We were here in April with our Golden Retriever. We were showed around the place and get to select the room most convenient to us ( in view of having a dog with us). The staff was polite and eager to share with us the history of the villa and the places of interst in the city. Rooms were clean, comfortable and very tastefilly decorated. There was a cooking class going on during our stay and the resataurant owner invited us to join in and even tried to make the Orecchiette! This place made us feel like home. Breakfast was simple but well-prepared.

My husband and I stayed for three nights during our honeymoon. The management is fantastic - very friendly and helpful. We received great restaurant recommendations, and we saw several sites in the area we would not have found on our own. Scala dei Turchi and the beach in that area was a great find, and the Valle dei Templi by night and at dusk basically made the trip. Breakfast hour is somewhat limited, but the food was quite good. The room was clean and suited our needs, although we would have appreciated slightly more supportive pillows - we both struggled to sleep comfortably. The restaurant that partners with the B&B is fantastic. Among our best meals on a two week trip filled with fantastic dining.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have windows. Daylight is limited. Not really a place to hang out in your room...there...

Clean, modern rooms. Management polite, attentive, and helpful. Excellent English. B&B difficult to locate--a nice, non-English speaking Sicilian looked at our map and guided us there. It's true what they say about parking right by the gas station and "looking down"--but upon arrival you doubt yourself that this can be right. Breakfast is basic though just fine: fruit, bread, coffee. In-house restaurant was an excellent dinner.

Room Tip: beds are low to the ground--if you have difficulty with that, ask which room would be easiest for yo...
