Gisella and Tomaso are definitely this lovely little B and Bs strength. Their interest in their guests is refreshingly genuine and nothing is too much trouble for them. Gisella welcomed us and gave us an interesting and detailed overview of the area with helpful tips too.
The bnb is immaculately clean and well presented. Our room was fresh and appealing with everything we needed (although a small refrigerator would be an asset here).
Breakfast was plentiful and varied with a special addition of a home made cake.
A great value bnb with no criticisms.

Tomaso, the owner, picked us up from the train and gave us excellent directions around the city. He also recommended lots of places to eat for dinner. Our room was excellent, air con was very effective and Gisella and Tomaso were so generous and kind. Breakfasts were great as well. The square outside is plain, apart from the day of the market, but Kerkent is excellent inside and very close to the city centre and to bus and rail stations. A wonderful place to stay!

I was welcomed by Gisella with a glass of fruit juice and plenty of useful tips on god local sights and restaurants. The room was a good size and the air-con was very effective (important in July!). The piazza where it is located i rather ugly but you are a 2 minute walk down the stairs to the main street. Try the restaurant Manhattan at the bottom of the steps!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back would be quieter. As other reviewers have mentioned, IT IS HARD TO FIND AND THERE...

We were a little nervous at first when we pulled into the parking lot. It looks a little sketchy from the outside, but the interior is very quaint and the staff very helpful. The rooms are quite spacious and we had a nice patio. Not much for views from the windows. We were only there for one night, so it was OK. Short walk into town. We kept the windows open at night because there was a nice breeze, but lots of town noise in the early morning and dogs barking in the middle of the night! Simple but nice breakfast in the common area. WiFi only worked in the common areas, not the bedrooms.

Wonderful place to stay, writing this review as I sit in their small courtyard on a beautiful late afternoon after Gisella and Angelo offered me a cordial drink of Sicilian mandarine liquor. The breakfast was very good this morning. Gisella offered me a delicious ricotta cheese with pistachios to go with wonderful coffee and pastries. It is difficult to find the place but worth the stay. Room was clean and specious- I only wish I could stay longer. Thank you Gisella you were very kind and gracious.

Bad start is that the B&B is really difficult to find. We arrived by train and multimap said it was a 7 minute walk, but we were not prepared for the huge flight of steps up to the piazza. It is not easily found - but its worth persevering. The welcome was very good, the room well furnished and bathroom clean and with good hot water and lots of towels. Breakfast was excellent and there is a little courtyard where you can sit. Very quiet away from the main thoroughfare but close to the centre of things.

We stayed for 3 nights in May and were delighted with both the accommodation and the host Gisella, who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was airy and spacious with a generous sized shower room and a terrace. Everything was newly tiled and decorated and there was a small breakfast room with another communal terrace for afternoon sun.

Breakfast was continental but with a good selection of fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese etc and a delicious torte every day.

It is quite tucked away so if you are going by car a sat nav is a good idea but parking was not too much of a problem and it was so handy for the bus station that we left the car and took the bus to the temples. You can also walk to the Duomo and other sights as it is on the edge of the old town.

We would definitely recommend this B and B to everyone except if you have mobility problems as it is up a steep staircase. There is also a really nice restaurant called Manhattan just down the road which serves typical Sicilian style food and pizzas. The anti pasti buffet was especially good as was the porcini risotto.

Room Tip: All rooms were nice but it was good to have a terrace.
