“slow service”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

We chose to go here after reading some reviews on TA our second night in Agrigento. We were mildly disappointed; our meal was okay, but once the waiter took our order that was it for the night. We could barely even get his attention to get our check. Definitely would not recommend this place; we went to many other restaurants during our stay worth a trip...better atmosphere, food and service!

“Very Nice”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

Perched in a treed avenue in the town above the plains below, the restaurant has outside tables shaded by dense foliage where there is plenty of space and comfortable chairs. We ordered seafood sald for my wife which was excellent and a pizza with the lot which was, well, a pizza. Service was good and efficient. It was only when we went inside that we saw the extraordinary interior of part troglodyte cave and part brick with carved and bricked vaulted ceilings. There was room for a wedding reception inside. Worth a visit for the interior alone.

“Pick of the bunch...”
Reviewed 16 July 2013

Recommended by the people we stayed with we couldn't of been happier with the food we ordered...

The Rustic Anti-Pasti is more than enough to share and is delicious.

We went there twice: recommend the Lobster Noodles - comes with half a lobster! and the Swordfish Ravioli!

I'm not sure if it's just the Sicilian attitude to tourists, partiuclary to English/Americans but the service was very mixed at best. One waiter, a polietly large chap was incredible - teaching us italian, recommending wine, booking taxis, shaking our hands and generally making us feel welcome. The other waiters however were arrogant and just plain rude, didnt make eye contact, tutted, ignored us....

My girlfriends Italian is not bad, but they just didn't seem to care....

If you get the right waiter the food is a joy, make sure you sit outside and watch the world pass by...

This restaurantis a little pricy but the food was very good. It was our last meal in Sicily and after some great food and wine we were very happy to finish here. Go and enjoy.

“Delicious food; dismal service”
Reviewed 27 February 2013

If you can tolerate poor service, it is worth going to this restaurant, which has a very nice ambiance and is away from the busy pedestrian walkway.

We were a group of approximately 15 tourists. Our tour director booked our reservations, accompanied us to lunch, and arranged for a limited menu at a set price. The seafood salad and seafood pasta were delicious and the serving sizes quite generous. The meat selection, veal, and the antipasta salad looked very tempting. These too were large servings.

Service: A fellow traveler who had indicated his allergy to parsley was brought an entree with the herb sprinkled on top. The entree was sent back. He finally left to find his lunch elsewhere when a replacement entree did not arrive by the time the rest of us were almost done eating. The restaurant charged for his entree. To avoid a hassle, fellow travelers paid for the disgruntled diner's meal. Another traveler found her veal too undercooked for her taste. At her request and after a long wait, she was served pasta. Service was acceptable for those who did not have a problem with their entree.

The poor service put a damper on what otherwise might have been a fantastic lunch.
