“Fantastic Location, So-So Staff, Mediocre Breakfast, Over-priced Dinners”
Reviewed 4 June 2010

The hotel's location is superb, many rooms face the incredible archaelogical sites. The room we stayed had been recently upgraded/updated and was quite comfortable, with a large terrace facing the pool and archaeological sites.

The dinner in the hotel's outdoor dining room was in a great setting and very tasty but really overpriced. We only ate there because we had had a very long travel day and were too tired to leave the hotel.

The included breakfast is very poor, there was no fresh or canned fruit either day and the selection of breads etc. was not great. Furthermore, there was no hot food available and the service was not good. Some of the staff were rather snooty and not that helpful or accommodating.

We'd recommend the hotel mainly because of its location, which is fantastic.

enjoyed staying here, great location for the ruins etc

NEVER eat in the restaurant, complete rip-off. Think the chef has gone a bit overboard - crazy prices

hard to get drinks served, they didn't seem to have enought staff on

overall, good hotel, just overpriced for what it is

Incredible hotel. Service was excellent from start to finish; reception, housekeeping staff and waiting staff. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Restaurant experience was sublime - eating from the special menu, with great wine recommendations, on the terrace looking out over the lit temple. The swimming pool and the garden where breakfast is served (with English language newspapers!) made a beautiful setting. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel. It was an oasis on our trip around Sicily.

This is the best place to stay to see the temples of Agrigento. The location is fantastic and the staff are wonderful. We ate breakfast and dinner outside on the terraces with beautiful view of the temples. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very romantic.

The hotel had been totally renovated and it was a great pleasure staying here. The bathroom was luxurious, the room was comfortable, and the service a delight. The room overlooked the Valley of the Temples. Since we planned this as a once in a lifetime visit, we felt the price was well worthwhile.
The room, the private balcony, the restaurant, the pool and gardens made our visit a delight. In the evening, we ate at the outdoor restaurant, overlooking the Temple -- it was perfect. We were within walking distance of the Valley of the Temples. Our stay here allowed us to park the car and not use it for two days, which was a welcome benefit.
The one small issue was a kitchen that did not fully coordinate food presentation e.g., poached eggs on toast were served as poached eggs with the toast arriving 10-15 minutes later. Also, there is sometimes a shortage of dining room staff if there are more customers than usual. In spite of these hiccups,we would certainly recommend
this hotel.

This beautifully appointed hotel is in one of the most stunning locations I have ever experienced in my life. From the room balcony (also the breakfast area and the restaurant terrace) it feels as if you could touch the central temple with your finger! Our room was spotless and very comfortable and we found the staff very accomodating and friendly. We checked in with the intention of trying out various area restaurants, but never felt the need to go anywhere else. The occasion of our trip was our wedding anniversary and we found this an exquisitely romantic place to celebrate!
