Since many hotels in the area were closed (high season was over), our tour group stayed at this hotel. Fortunately, we were only there for only one night.

One side of the hotel overlooked a large dog kennel, which was the source of continued noise (and according to some members of our group) smells. The best solution: keep the gates on your windows and balcony door tightly closed to muffle the noise.

The cable television had only one working English language channel, the Gospel Channel. An odd choice, especially for Italy.

The elevators were tiny and cranky.

On the plus side, the food was somewhat above average. The room was clean, although quite dated and banged up, and totally lacking in any kind of style.

If you are visiting Agrigento, try to stay elsewhere if you can.

Spartan room: threadbare sheets, bad lighting room could use a dusting. there are dog kennels out side the hotel. The dogs barked all night. AC only works until midnight. The only view is a construction site. Worst hotel in Sicily. I will return to Agrigento but NEVER at this hotel.

Ghastly experience. Showerhead fell out of the wall, followed by brown sludge. I could write my name in the dust on the furniture and the door to the mini - bar was broken. Just no upkeep.
Food reached a level of mediocrity seldom seen in Sicily -

ugly is what I would call it. We had a view of the frame of a new hotel which looks like it's been laying there 1/2 finished for quite awhile. It was clean and everything worked though. Agrigento and the surrounding suburbs is about the nastiest looking thing we saw in Sicily but those Temples made it all worth while.

This hotel was pretty average. They have a swimming pool which is nice, but it isn't the cleanest hotel I've ever been in. Dining room was acceptable; nothing to rave about.
