This is the second time in three years that we stayed at the Colleverde and we absolutely love it! The Gardens and views of the Temples and rolling hills are beautiful. The rooms are well appointed. The staff is very helpful and the food in the restaurant is excellent. BUT most of all, the restaurant staff is exceptional. Knowledgeable, welcoming and warm. My special thanks to Colegero, Giusepe and Giusepe for their great service and the way that they took care of my family and my elderly Dad. I plan on returning again. This is without a doubt the best Hotel that I have visited in all of Sicily, including a stay in Tarominia! Thanks, The Volpe's

This hotel provided everything we wanted for our visit to Agrigento. We were lucky to get what must be the best room in the house. On the top floor it had a huge, private deck with a sweeping view of the Valley of the Temples. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, breakfast was good, there was plenty of free parking, and the gardens around the hotel were spacious and lovely.
The hotel is located about half-way up the hill, so if you haven't a car, it's a bit of way to either the old center of Agrigento or to the temples, but there are two very fine restaurants right across the street.

Room Tip: Room 402 is great! (It is up a steep stairway)

The reviews for hotels in Agrigento are so mixed that I was really ambivalent about choosing were to stay. After much agonising I settled on Colleverde hotel and had quite average expectations. I have to say though I was pleasantly surprised.

It has a great location, just an easy 1.3km down hill walk to the Valley of Temples and free parking on site. When we arrived our room was not ready but the reception staff were really helpful and suggested going to the trattoria dei templi across the road for lunch in the interim. The food was great and well priced for a tourist town (mushroom risotto fabulous - not too creamy but full of flavour). After lunch we returned to check in and were able to utilise their free internet computer in the lobby.

The twin bedded room was on the small size, but perfectly adequate. We had an uninspired view of the car park. There were roller shutters on the window which helped to block out the light early in the morning (always appreciated when on holiday). The bathroom was adequate - like all european hotels valuable space is taken up by bidets. But there was still enough space to dry yourself after the shower which was over the bath tub.

We walked into the old town for dinner. In hindsight we probably should have driven or caught the bus but we didn't appreciate from the map just how far away (and up hill) it was. Once we got there we walked right through the town to the other side to find the restaurant recommended by the helpful reception staff. Ex-Pacificio certainly didn't disappoint. The ambience was rustic, food fresh and tasty and couldn't resist the cannolis for dessert. After the up hill trek I felt I could justify the calories!

Breakfast was ordinary compared to some of the others we experienced in Sicily but still tasty and filling. I think this was quite a good place to stay for it's convenience to the Temples ... in terms of value - it was one of the more expensive places we stayed, but I think this reflects its location and the fact that this is on the tour bus route.

Sea views and temples lit at night! Staff was very friendly. Clean hotel and great location. Lovely gardens. If you have a car drive down to San Leone for dinner at la Caico.

Room Tip: ask for room on the temple side

Hotel rooms clean. Front desk staff pleasant, bar staff waiter service poor - could only offer beer or cola. It would have been nice to see the sun go down over the temple with a sundowner which would have been an excellent end to the day. The garden is lovely but the trees, greenery and florabunda need cutting back so that you get a good view of the temple. We had a room facing the temple on the first floor and couldn't see a thing but green branches- the view could have been magficient with lower trees - the main reason for staying at Colleverde Park Hotel was the view.
Food at dinner was extremely salty - we asked maitre de for a smooth red wine - but on his recommendation ended up with something that tasted like vinegar which we couldn't drink and we were charged for.
Very good location - shame about the staff and greenery.

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your opinion. It amazes me that the bar was only able to offer beer or coca cola, in fact we have a bar menu in a very visible place, which lists about 62 different drinks and all available. I understand that from some corners of our garden you can not see the temples because of our trees, but we decided to plant Mediterranean trees, including palms (phoenix dactylifera, phoenix robusta, camerops etc. ..) that can not be cut and characterize our garden so appreciated by our guests. In any case, while confirming that from our terrace you can enjoy a nice view, I want to personally check with our gardeners if there are hedges or shrubs that may block the view from some positions. Although our hotel is located just outside the Valley of the Temples, not all our rooms have views over the valley and we do not promote the view from the rooms with the exception of the deluxe rooms. I'm sorry you found salty the food, our chef is usually stingy with salt in food. Sometimes human error, or that some foods used in cooking as a Sicilian capers, fennel and olives can make a strong taste for those who prefer the taste more 'delicate. In any case, our maitre is always available to change the food if it can not find the taste of our guests. All our wines are Sicilian, we have a well-stocked cellar, unfortunately we can not know in advance if the taste of a wine is affected by the cap or other reason. That's why we always make our guests to taste the wine before serving and keep it on the table. If wine is not good we change it immediately.

I stayed there with my parents in a double room transformed into a triple room. The room was still very big and clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good and the coffee was just great. The staff (in the breakfast room and at the reception) was helpful and explained how to get to the temples. You actually walk 15 minutes to get to the entrance and you can take the bus to go up to the hotel.
There is a very nice garden. We didn't eat at the restaurant so I am unable to give a review for it. There is a free parking.
